LST looking for advice compliments and suggestions +rep for helpful information

OK so this plant is about 1.5 months in and has been doing great the whole time. I started it from a seed and still have no idea if it's male or female since it was a random bag seed. So for the most part this plant is just practice and if I'm lucky it will reward me!

Remember, +rep for anything really helpful!

I use pieces of coat hanger wire bent in half. Push them down not quite to dirt level. Its a little easier than lokking for places to tie off to.
But thats just me.

this is what lst does, creates more tops, makes the plant bush out, keeps everything level canopy, therefor more light penetration, then onto more yield in the end result,i would also suggest super cropping, and what i have recently discovered, a twist supercrop, its is where you twist the stem until you hear a crack, creates knuckles in the stem for better nutrient absorbing..... try reading up on the thread called supercrop and canopy control, real helpful thread, and a great bunch of guys there toowilling to help.

a closer inspection of ur pics,i see what seems to be a white powder on your plants, this could be powdery mildew, readup about it,and if it defonatly is powderymildew, its time to chop and try again im afraid, its a danger to smoke,if you plant even survives that long.

you can see a white powder on my plant, it is not powdery mildew, its dust from drilling holes in the wall for extraction.

Yeah it's a 125w fluorescent. I also have a 5w LED bulb on and I have a UFO 90w actual light that I haven't used yet but if it's not seeming to get enough light should I add that as well? I was also wondering, how high should the light be? It's currently at about 2 feet above the plant and hasn't had any burning so I figured it's ok there? Any suggestions for better growth?

I would suggest you inspect that white powdery stuff on ur plant first, that couldpotentially ruin the crop, you cannot leave things like this and expect them to go away.itsalsodangerous if you want to smoke bud infested with powdery mildew.

It's from SOMEONE spraying it with water/nutrient mix... it was me... I did it on accident, should I rinse it off or wet towel or what?
just spray it with normalplain fresh water, that should clean it off,and i advise be more carfull spraying your plants, and ifyou do wish to spray themwith a nutrient mix,use 1/10 strength, better to be safer than sorry, but i do not folair feed any more,so cannot give you any expert advise on it.

Get that bulb closer......I had my non air cooled 400w HPS only about 14'' from my plant top and I cant imagine a 125w CFL would get hotter than 400w HPS, so thats too far. \ Put your bulb at like 16'' and put the back of your hand near the plant top. If it feels too hot to be comfortable, its probably too hot. If you can bare the heat for more than 10-15 seconds move it a little closer....That 90w LED isnt going to pull much power i'd say get that sucker plugged in too.

You can have the cfl near 6 inches away fromyourplant i have had alittle experience with cfl,but for the electrici would go 250hps better penetration andwill save you electric rather than using loads of watts of "cheaper"lights.

Thanks everyone I put the bulb around 8 inches from the top of the plant and just overnight the new nodes seem to be doing a lot better they grew almost an inch overnight. I'll make sure to keep checking it closely today and see how it goes, and I'll post more pictures soon!

yeah youve actually got justbas much light as me if not more .. the reason mine was bigger and bushier was definetly nota lack of. Light but definetly too far from the plant i used boards to raise mine closer to the bulbs and took them away as they got bigger from everything i read when i was learning about cfl the bulbs wont give the plants there full potential more than 6 inches away they get alot weaker any further than that , ive kept mine about 4 inches away with a fan on them to keep the tops from getting to hot

Wow guys, thank you all so much. The growth was at somewhat of a standstill when I posted the first pictures and my plant is doing a lot better now over the weekend after lowering the light. Here's some more pictures to see the progress.

foliar feed at lights out, use silica to protect against stress and strengthen your plant, heat is the enemy.....silica helps....otherwise keep doing what you are doing.
