Ya, I thought of that........
I think the worst is over, and they're doing fine, and I have plenty of time to finish, but I'll keep that in mind.
Thanks!;-)

Forgot!!!
I've been getting antsy and impatient, so I started a Blue Mammoth today too.
My buddy fucked one of them up SOOO BAD with a heat issue..... finished her with sharpie sized colas all the way around. HAHAHA that's what happens when you grow in your 3rd floor with NO ac, windows closed, fans off, and your 400w SUPER LUMENS set at 125%.100+ for 2 weeks without even PEEKING at the plant once. I can't go 3 hours without looking at the babies. the Blue Thai don't seem like she's gonna make it now. I don't know what I did. could have something to do with the plumbing work. but I let my water run for a while before I take any. stem snapped at the same spot as my SPYDER auto I mentioned in dank's thread as well as my own. you ever get seedlings randomly falling flat on you? breaking on their own without anything touching them? it CAN'T be my nutes doing this. in fact I'm using LESS than normal. and not adding in my sweeteners yet either.. I REALLY need a house with some space. I need to be able to get shit outside. I don't have that here. I look out one window and see 15 buildings. look out the other and see another 15. lol

Never had a seedling fall over, but I keep a 6" desk fan right on them, and at least one CFL right on top, I mean RIGHT on top after about the 4th day from sprout.
I keep them so close until about month and half old, I get leafs growing into the bulbs and burning sometimes if I forget to check longer than 6 hours.
I don't feed anything until 20 days or more.

OK, pics and very little to read on the 27th of July, for Prosp.
Sorry, had to go take a nap before I read your pictures bro :eyesmoke:

Looking good, wouldn't expect anything less from your garden. Wanted to Google Blue Mammoth, but I think I will go back to sleep, I'm exhausted  from all the reading. L8tr

Yeah I can't seem to figure it out. everything I use is clean. so it's fuckin puzzling me big time. it has NEVER happened before. and now 2 in a row. just POOF right at the soil like you'd see with an embolism in a clone.

Weak seeds?
From the same breeder?
I'd lean more towards soil if you've changed that, since your last grow.
When they break soil, can you try mounding up some soil around the stem until they thicken up a bit?

In fact I just switched to ReadyGro from CocoGro. I wanted better air flow to the root zone. but it's clean.. and I just started using Rapid Rooter plugs. which is the surface that it broke in(they weren't deep at all the top was level with soilless mix when planted) but the Blue Thai wasn't broken when the spyder broke. it was fine. I buried ALL the seedlings lower to only 1-2" tall. and then watered them last night and the blue thai started floating out of the readygro. I was like what the hell????? looked and the stem was broken off at the plug but root points appeared to be poking off the small stem so I reburied her and left her. 2 different breeders. Black Creek Gardens and DinaFem.

good luck on the rain stopping bro, it has been one wet summer. plants are still looking good.

Limited in area of the yard I can put them, as far as snoopy neighbors, but also been holding off building anything because we don't usually have rain this far into summer, so I keep telling myself it will quit next week.:wall:

Hey BAK. I couldn't post pics a few days ago because of the site being messed up or whatever but I got a pic of the spyder that died.
isn't it weird how it turned up for light but still didn't survive when planted deeper??
:wall:Dude, that's WAY stretched, you need closer and maybe more light and a fan on them things.

OK I forgot to mention. I was using CFL lighting.(4' work light) and NOW have a 400w MH. I planted them TOO HIGH when I put the plugs into the pots. I just put it at surface level. (because I was using CFL and had it RIGHT ON TOP of my Blue Dream so she wouldn't stretch too much... She's in a 3.9 gal they are in 8" rounds. and currently I have nothing to lift them up(not needed now with the 400w MH on full) so they were stretching for light that I didn't have available in the first place.

you can see the height of the Blue Thai to the right of the Blue Dream in the first pic. then the second is after being dropped and 3rd from just now.

. and now she looks like this today.....
No pics, but from the way you describe it, the thing was already too tall without the strength to support the weight by the time you added the light.
Do you have a fan blowing on the seedlings?
If not, get one.
It simulates wind and helps build up the stem.
If you got any more lanky ones like that, support them with bamboo skewers like for shish ka bob, and wire ties from the vegetable section at your grocery store.

Ask,before posting pics in peoples threads!!!
1.Lower the light.
2.Start seeds where when they come up, you can add soil up to the cotys or just below.
3.Start in a good Soil,my preference is FFOF,takes alot of issues out of equation.
4.GL,that plant has streched so much, that if you do add soil enough to make it sturdy,Im afraid of stem rot.
