btw i fried my plant. my fan sucked the shitty mylar off my walls and it just went downhill from there. now i know what to do..buy a damn roll of orca grow film, use my a/c to control temps, etc.

when i get some money i'll set the room up the way it should have been all along. i'm not a half-assed type of person so idk why the fuck i tried half-assing my grow.

I'm the same way man. This time I got a little bit ahead of myself, though. I have two plants that will be 7 days old tomorrow....and my tent won't be here til' tuesday. And my fan is on "back-order" so they're saying it could take 2-3 weeks. Soooo....I just went out and bought a window unit a.c. from the pawn shop. Hopefully it'll help with the temps.

i've heard great things about window units. i've actually got 2 portable a/c units just lying around the house and no one knows why lol. 1 9k btu and 1 8k btu.

room contents for veg:
-440cfm fan w/o carbon filter
-t5
-oscillating fan
-a/c unit (haven't decided which one i'm using yet.)

room contents for flowering:
-440cfm fan + carbon filter
-2x 400ws
-a/c unit
-oscillating fan

plus if i seal the room up nice with my orca film, then fully automated co2 could be a possibility after a harvest or two. won't take me too long to get up and growin' right, so don't y'all forget about me just yet, haha.

you should have used a couple cfls on that one plant instead of the t5s to maximize lumens/surface area. t5s/cfls don't penetrate well and using that light on just one plant seems extremely inefficient... probably half of the light isn't even penetrating that small of a plant, however i know your intentions were to have a lot more plants under there. give your plant a little distance from your lights so you can watch it grow toward the light, in this early of a growth stage you want to baby your babys. also if you were trying to gain experience or whatever, why did you decide to grow the auto instead of the photos? clearly there is less margin for error, but it is the error that you learn from.

Untitled-1.jpg this is what I would do in your 9x2 grow space.. stage 1: cuttings for like 4 weeks, stage 2: veg for like 4 weeks, stage 3: flower for like 8 weeks. top stage1 when putting into stage2 and use the tops for your new stage1s. this will maximize your grow space and the spread of light within, while allowing you to perpetually harvest 4 nice sized plants every 8 weeks. obviously you would need to light seal stages 1 and 2 from stage 3 and you would need to ditch the autos for photos (so you can clone)

Hey CCCMints! Thanks for dropping a compliment on my psychedelic garden :)

Definitely subbing this, very interesting indeed... I'm also set up for perpetual harvest SOG style. 9 plants every 4 weeks, using 2 600w lamps for flowering, ebb-and-flow tables, hoping to get around 300g every two weeks or so but it's going to take a while to tweak. I'll take up the journal again once it gets interesting, no point really untill it KICKS and I have something to show...

Whatever you want to get out of your show is possible... In the end I stole a room in my house my wife is not happy with but my plants very much are hehehehe... It is all about what takes priority, your idea for the crop or using the 'closet space' which I feel you're gonna grow out of pretty quickly anyway.


I was gonna do Tahoe OG, but untill certain rumours are confirmed or disspelled, it's on hold and I am awaiting my delivery of SinCity LVBK...

I feel very lucky to have my current room for flowering :) :) :)

how will you flower the first 10 plants right next to the 20 your vegging? or will u move 10 into a flowering tent?

i'm glad i have a little audience to come back to when i am ready to try my hand at growing again:mrgreen: from the looks of things, y'all won't be waitin too much longer~

im using a 6k btu AC in a window and its able to keep the room well within limits so far and temps have been up into the 90s outside. the 600 watt tent i just had to run a duct to put infront of the AC to keep the tent cool.

heres the plant i cloned shes got a 3-4 weeks to go probably.

btw anyone got some tips on the best way to seal my closet with orca grow film? i want to make sure the orca doesn't get sucked off the wall by my fan..like the mylar on my first run.

i'm thinkin' staple gun and guerrilla tape

You can buy long strips of velcro at walmart. They come with like 8 ft. of both sides of the velcro. That's what I used for my closet.
