The cartel ALWAYS gets its cut!

In AZ, which I believe was the most recent state to enact MMJ laws, permits were $25k...but in MA, where they're allowing for 35 permits at 50k, the cost is ticking upward. In neighboring Rhode Island, there was no specific regulation in the law which allowed for dispensaries and the whole system was a lot more grass roots and a lot less beaurocratic because unlike the MA bill, people could designate their caregivers and wouldn't have to go through a dispensary. In tax-free NH (where I'm from) house bill 573 just passed the senate, which allows for 4 or 5. Gee, I can't wait to see how much I'd have to pay if I want to start my own business!

no one is forcing you to open up a dispensary or telling you which state you must do it in, jackass.

and i don't think many people would be willing to buy medical grade cannabis from a jackass living in his car in the mcdonald's parking lot.

If the voters of the state want more government in their lives that is their decision. Glad I don't live there.
the "freest" state with regards to government regulations and bureaucracy is north dakota, but i don't think you'll have much luck selling cannabis in that state.

life is all about costs and benefits.

of course not, but maybe I'd LIKE to, but couldn't AFFORD to, thanks to the cartel government.
you mean to thank your own laziness and inability to pull yourself up by the bootstraps. where is that rugged individualism that you guys feel is all that is needed to cure our country?

since you live in your car in *the mcdonalds parking lot, i know you are mobile. come to oregon and open up a storefront here. it'll only cost ya about $500 to get your OMMP card and you're set.

when your dream fails, you will have no problem finding a bridge under which to park your car and live comfortably. we take care of our bums like you in this state.

few decades ago, anybody could come to America, buy a car, paint "taxi" on it and be in business immediately, as an entrepreneur. Other entrepreneurs would compete for lowest fares and the price would be driven down as low as possible. But this is America, not a place for entrepreneurs- GO TO COLLEGE AND GET A DEBT DEGREE TO WORK THE ASSEMBLY LINE
In 1937 Mayor Fiorello H. La Guardia signed the Haas Act, which introduced official taxi licenses and the medallion system that remains in place today.

we should set barriers to entry so low that any unqualified douche can whirl you around the city unsafely.
Q- What's the difference between a "qualified douche" and an "unqualified douche" ?

A- The "qualified douche" paid the extortion

Fuck extortion.

It doesn't matter what you do if you decide to go into business, you always have
upfront costs and operating capital is also needed.

Every business needs a license, this is nothing new.

If you want to play on your own and not be under the thumb of some "evil boss or employer"
then put up your cash and put your money where your mouth is. Risk your assets for a brighter
future or just sit by idle and quit complaining about how the rest of the world functions.

Pay to play, it is how the business world works.

Considering this is for med shops, out of curiosity what are the licensing costs
of a pharmacy? It would be more in line with the med shop as cannabis is not in the
same classification as alcohol.

Every business "needs" a license? Nope. Every bureaucrat needs a paycheck.

The license is a form of control and a barrier to entry.

Pay to play? Nope. That's how extortion works. Free people making consensual deals do not need an unwanted parisitic 3rd party.
An honest business needs two things, a willing seller and a willing buyer.
