Can't wait to see how it turns out. I just ordered some MNS G13 Widow hopefully they turn out half as nice as the G13s (minus the mold, sorry about that )

I believe the G13/widow is an IBL. Shanti lost the G13 mom years ago.

i have been growing Doc's Bubba for close to 4 years. Still have a bean left from my 5 pack. Lenghty veg time for best yields and top her. Not the hugest yielder but I can pull close to a lb scrog under 1000 with one plant. Doc aint lying when he says 'tastiest smoke on the planet'. Mellow, not a hard hitter buzz, makes great medibles and hash. I would pay $100 a bean no problem

What drain to waste system ? and why are u switching back to jacks ? I dropped the ball with the 35s last week, I shoulda given them a bigger dose of N cause ive got a ton of yellow fans but im in week 7 so im not going to bitch..too much
Im going to run 9 G13s in my 4x4 tent next go round, I havent played in a SOG in a while . I have read the g13 stretches a fair bit from clone but not from anybody i trust lol, have u grown any g13s from clones ?

I talked to Doc Greenthumb yesterday I just ordered the BOG. Can't wait and for anyone's info the difference between the pre98 bubba and tha katsu cut bubba is (and u were right) there are a lot less viable seeds coming off the katsu than the pre98 cut. The katsu is a pure cut of the original bubba kush he was unsure and doubt if the pre98 is a pure cut but that its more than likely crossed with unknown genetics from the start. He said there both good but the katsu has a definite tastie taste lol! So I think I'll try it and chemdawg then get that katsu. Also he sends u 4 of the katsu.

I have been talking to Doc myself about my patients, and my own, medical concerns. It is his strong opinion that Bubba Kush Katsu is the best medical strain out there for a number of ailments and as far as he is aware, no other breeder is offering the real thing. He did not offer this advice to me lightly because he knows I'm dealing with very serious issues for some of my patients and he feels it's important to have the real Bubba because it is different then others. I've said it before so I wont go on about this part but Doc has always been very above board with me, especially when dealing with serious issues. He outlined the differences between the pre-98 and the Katsu to me as well and he feels the Pre98 is good for medical issues but just not as good as the Katsu. He has both of them to work with and thats what works best for him and a number of his patients. I have a patient that is very interested in it because it doesn't produce anxiety like many other strains do, and that alone makes it worth cost to me and to them. And, like you mentioned, according to him the pre 98 is a big seed producer while the Katsu is a very small seed producer and thats why the Katsu is expensive.

I dont expect huge yields but when i get a killer plant i will clone the crap out of it and do an all bubba run.....but only if it works for the medical problems my patients and I have. The Bubba OG has been the best I have found for my problems so far and if, as Doc says, the Bubba is even better, then i would certainly pay $200 for 4 seeds. No Problem.

Well, Sativa's are famous for it but plenty of indica plants can give people paranoia or the jitters as well. If you suffer from any from of anxiety disorder it can be a nightmare and any medical benefit would be over shadowed by the negative feelings it produces. . Doc's C99 would be a problem for many people who have those issues, and if you have it really bad like my patient, nearly all strains can be a problem. Im not sure all the scientific reasons for this but it I think it has something to do with THC levels Vs CBD levels.
This is going to be a great test of the Bubba's low anxiety properties because my patient is in dire need of strain like that.

To be honest im going back to jacks because im out of the MG 20-20-20. A friend had given me what i have and it was running low when he gave it to me. I cant find it at any store so i would have to order it online. I already have plenty of Jacks sitting around so why bother. I could run the same method with the jacks and it will come out just as good or better.

Drain to waste is what i was doing before. Using Promix you keep the PH at 5.7 and feed every time with about 400ppm making sure to get plenty of run off.

9 G13's? ...wow! could be a tight room. i didn't get a chance to do a g13 from clone before i killed everything in my garden and lost it.

If I could find jacks up here in Canada i would use it as well, the plantprod 20/20/20 i use now has to be mixed in hot water or in takes forever to dissolve. I didnt have that problem with the Jacks but shipping doubles the price of using it. The DTW question was dumb dude sorry lol but Im surprised at the 5.7 PH. Ive always read and used 6.3 - 6.5 in promix. Ive thought about lowering my PH because I add 50% more perlite similar to what you do i think, maybe i will play around with one plant and see. 400ppm is 1/2 strength i think ? I was thinking of feeding with every watering as well with the G13s, I figure they must eat a ton..I was going to start at 1/4 strength though but that might be too weak. More to think about

A keeper is simply finding a plant that is worth growing again. As a medical grower I am only allowed a certain amount of plants and a plant has to be good enough (yield, taste, potency) to merit a space in my garden. For some people a keeper would means different things but thats the basics.
Finding a keeper means you don't have to buy the same seeds again so in that way it doesn't mean repeat customers. But, when you find keeper quality in each strain you buy from a breeder then you would want to keep going back to that breeder.

the process can be long. Lets say you start 4 seeds. you have to keep a clone of all 4 going until they are done and you have judged and sampled them for taste/potency/yield/etc. Then based on all those things you pick one(or more) and kill off the rest.

Yeah, that was the only shaky thing that made me change my mind, although I'm sure Shanti would be able to get his hands on something good if it isn't a "25k cut" lol. I went with the classic Black Widow, figured you could never go wrong with MNS BW.

some rust spots and yellowing stared on Bubba #2. I noticed when i watered it the run off was high at 7 so I flushed and lowered the PH. Hopefully that will take care of it. I've had this happen before and it usually works out after i transplant which will be pretty soon.
Bubba #1 looks much better but i will be flushing that as well just in case.

(Peace to all those tunning in) I've experienced those copper spots as well and also on the edges of the leaves I wonder if its a ph problem or an over feeding problem be ause I rarely see it when I alternate feeding and just watering. As u said it usually works its way out though. I think I'll keep my eye out for this issue again. Flushing works but I'd like to know what causes it. By the way I ordered my BOG and Chemdawg#4 yesterday so I should get em Friday or Monday. Can't wait!

the problem confounds me....i tried feeding more, i tried feeding less. i tried different PH and everything else i could think of, but it still pops up. last few grows everything was fine but suddenly its back. its also on two others i popped at the same time. hmmmm???????????
