good luck fighting on an empty stomach!i don't agree. our government would have a hell of a war fighting multiple guerrilla groups in the Appalachians, rocky mountains, swamps of Louisiana, lands of Alaska, and swamps of Florida. not only that, other countries who hate the U.S. would gladly support us with weapons and supplies.
the United States is a huge place with lots of nooks and crannies. the most powerful countries in the world have never been able to tame or control afghanistan and its mountains, what makes you think that in a land 20x the size, that the government even has a shot. lol
you must live in a city or suburb.
the bushmaster was engineered and designed solely to cause as much harm as possible.I can yell fire and fighting words legally in the comfort of my garage as ruled by the court. It's like you are saying I should be allowed to have what I want as long as I don't use it to cause harm according the SCOTUS. Welcome to the team man, bout time.
I call Bullshit. That shit DD and you do need tax stamp, pass the crap from ATF, Hell you need a background check and another DD tax just for the HD..Dude who the fuck you fooling ??? NFA part 26 U.S.C. 5845, 27 CFR 479.11Don't need a tax stamp, or any paperwork filled out, OTC sales, totally legal. Don't need a permit, a license or even a bubble gum comic.
Ammo? Different kinds of ammo, some are too costly to buy, plus the HE rounds have to have paperwork filled out on them as a destructive item. Training rounds and the like are plentiful.
They fell a step or two short by chambering it in 5.56 NATO.the bushmaster was engineered and designed solely to cause as much harm as possible.
good fail.
yeah, like all those afghanis that nobody has been able to defeat or control. or the Americans in the Revolution, or all those rebel Syrians, or those French revolutionaries, or those Egyptian revolutionaries, or all those piss poor African countries, or South American countries, or those Mexican revolutionaries, or those Chinese revolutionaries, or those Bolsheviks, or Spartacus and his slaves, or Hannibal and his army after he crossed the Alps, or.......good luck fighting on an empty stomach!
Do you have a 37mm flare gun? Or the 40mm M203?Hey London, you know how you give people advice to shut up if they don't know what they are talking about?
Grenade launchers aren't illegal to own, I have one. They aren't considered a gun. Do a search on gun auction sites for M-203 grenade launcher, you can get them new for under $500. No FFL paperwork even needed.
he don't have the 40mm..thats for damn sure. MoDrama lyingDo you have a 37mm flare gun? Or the 40mm M203?
that's kind of weird position for being a lefty. can you elaborate why you don't have faith in the direction?I may get some flack for this considering I'm on the far left, but I don't like the idea of a national gun registry, and I think citizens should be allowed to have modern firearms, as long as they're under lock and key. I don't have a lot of faith in the direction the government has been heading the past 60 years.
Well because the government is becoming more and more authoritarian. With technology advancing at the rate it is, it's only a matter of time before our privacy and rights are violated. In some cases that's already happening. A good example is the recent controversy with drones. I may be on the left, but I hold a libertarian view of government.that's kind of weird position for being a lefty. can you elaborate why you don't have faith in the direction?

You and London share the same brain don't you? Grenade launchers ARE NOT CONSIDERED FIREARMS BY THE GOVERNMENT!the heller decision, for one.
So do you have a 37mm flare gun that looks like a 40mm grenade launcher? Or do you have a 40mm grenade launcher? Anything with a bore of over 1/2" (Exempting most shotguns.) is a destructive device, and due for a $200 tax stamp and all the according paperwork. You're right, they're not "firearms"; they are classified in a much more controlled category. You and London share the same brain don't you? Grenade launchers ARE NOT CONSIDERED FIREARMS BY THE GOVERNMENT!
The Heller decision has NOTHING to do with grenade launchers.
You suck.
it's a weapon, and it's certainly not one that's "in common use at the time".You and London share the same brain don't you? Grenade launchers ARE NOT CONSIDERED FIREARMS BY THE GOVERNMENT!

guns are great for hunting, self defense, and the like. They fell a step or two short by chambering it in 5.56 NATO.
On a more serious note. What guns do you feel we should be allowed to have, and what restriction do you feel need to be put in place?
Not to sound condescending, but I don't know how else to ask this. Isn't it hard to support something when you don't know what you're supporting? I may be assuming too much, but I can't see how you can support regulation of specific weapons; if you can't at least claim some knowledge of the weapons being regulated. Like I pointed out to London earlier, the deadliest mass-shooting in the US was committed by a man with 2 semiauto pistols (10 and 15 round magazines). He killed himself with about 200 round of unfired ammo left; after killing 32 people. Quite a bit more than the Sandy Hook shooting, which involved a man who had an AR15 style rifle. Until you make a gun that cannot be reloaded; get everyone back to cap and ball weapons; or find a way to make police response instant; you're not going to stop mass shootings. Even back in the day of cap and ball 6-shooters; people used to carry extra revolver cylinders for speed reloads.guns are great for hunting, self defense, and the like.
the military style weapons that are overkill for these purposes don't really have much purpose in civilian life other than to empower the mass murders and give them the ability to amass higher body counts.
i'm not a gun expert, so i can't say which ones exactly.
to the bolded: yes, but it is not hard to troll the living shit out of fact-free morons clinging to their guns and bibles, which is the majority of what i do.Not to sound condescending, but I don't know how else to ask this. To be fair, I truly can't blame you for trolling some of them. Hell, even I get tempted to troll some of the crazier ones. I can agree with your sentiment, but I don't think your route is going to provide a real solution. That's a much more in-depth discussion, though.to the bolded: yes, but it is not hard to troll the living shit out of fact-free morons clinging to their guns and bibles, which is the majority of what i do.
if everyone is just walking around with 10 or 15 round pistols, that puts us on much more level ground. just the simple act of having to reload more often mitigates the mass murders. this is demonstrable.
i've said it over and over again, and you are right to say it too: we will never stop all of these mass murders. but there is no need to make sure that every mass murder has an easy go of getting his/her mass murder tools. background checks, mag capacity, bans on military style weapons, and even simple laws about locking your goddamn weapons up when they are not in use would help.
no one needs to lose any essential rights to hunting/self defense in order for us to put a crimp in the plans of mass murderers.
