Is that the raptor 800? That thing is huge.
Howdy Stone. Its not a raptor but real similar. I got it off amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005LD5376/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=pe_175190_21431760_3p_M3T1_ST1_dp_1

Nice one. You'll find you can get the plants a lot closer with that. What are your plans for it?
i.e ballast wattage and plant size/numbers.
Thanks Moe. I plan on building a flower room. 8x8x7ish. I have a 600w digital greenhouse ballast. Not sure on the rest yet. Lol

I'm building a system similar to your hempy set up. I was going to put holes in the lids of 5 gal. buckets for 3 gal. pots , but instead of letting the roots get in the reservoir , I was going to use nylon rope to wick nutes from the reservoir. Seems like it would be efficient and easy , but I never hear any mention of wick systems.Have any of you kind sages ever tied it? It took me 2hrs. to get to post 19 , so I skipped to the end.If my Question is redundant , Im sorry , but I'd really like to know if I'm pissin in the wind with this wick idea.
Canna plants are so hungry man, I don't think any amount of wick would be able to transfer the amount of nutes in the correct ratios needed. That's why we don't see them indoors.

Some outdoor plants can survive short durations with wicking systems. But indoor we use HID lighting and this really maximizes the plants photosynthesis activity and therefore feeding requirements are increased.

Canna's like any plant, in that you get out what you put in. ... Just like growers of any quality plant its important to spend time with them to identify any problems early.

It can be done with automated systems but this takes time to set-up and dial-in also. A DWC plant may be more your thing if you can't get to the plant every few days.

Hope you find a solution dude. :peace:

I check each day and water when needed. dry down about 1 1/2 inch in coco...I move each plant everyday and reposition for even growth...and I just like to marvel at them.

I have a new watering system, found a tabletop fountain system at the thrift shop for 3.00, took out the submersible pump and added a 2 foot hose. Now I just put the plants in a tray, Drop the pump into a 2 1/2 gallon bucket. It's the perfect height and weight for my needs. I plug the pump in and water the plants, drop the hose back into the bucket and it just circulates. I unplug to take to the other spots. When I'm done I use the pump to clean out the drain tub. Works great for the hydro tanks as well.

I thought my hood was big, mines 24x24, how big is that thing.

PS: I like the pyramid shape.

REFLECTOR SIZE: 37" x 28 5/16" x 8 1/8"
It made a hell of a difference in my tent! My tents only a 4x4 and it almost fills it up. I was looking at the raptor 6" at a local hydro store and they wanted $230 for it. This is almost identical and I got it for $160 on amazon. The raptor measurements: The dimensions on the Magnum XXL 6" are 32 1/2" L x 26 1/4" W x 7 3/4" H. The Magnum XXL 8" has a little bit bigger size at 38 1/2" L x 29 1/2" W x 9 12" H. So my 6" is almost the same size as the raptor 8" for quite a bit less $.

I have this I'm using for Product: Delicious Seeds AUTO Cheese Candy

We recommend spending sprouts directly to final pots with a substrate fluffy and good drainage. Works perfectly indoors in pots of 7 liters, which thrives properly centered flowering bud of main and side branches. Thus, the plants exploit the maximum amount of light used. Outdoors we bring you more substrate, thereby win branching and growth. With the amount of sun and good subscriber necessary, we can ensure that all branches are filled with large buds and density.

Is surprisingly fast, considering the size and amount of flores. Pronto starts producing lots of floral aromas resin. Drying stresses sour tastes like licorice, or more spicy pepper type. The effect is of a totally Indica. Sound is physical, with slight brain stimulation. It has very beneficial effects in the treatment of muscle pain, insomnia or nervousness in general. An excellent choice for medical uses where the CBD active principle is best to use.
Flavour: Sweet
Way of cropping: Ind / Out
Production: 450 to 550 gr m2 indoors. Up to 900g per outside plant
Smell: Very High
Resistance to mold: Very high
Resistance to plagues: High
Sex: Feminized
Genetics: Candy x Cheese
Irrigation tolerancy: Medium
Medicinal Value: Very high

Go to this site http://en.seedfinder.eu/ to look up strains it's pretty good and has what you are looking for. Either one will do good out doors, I would suggest you start it indoors and transplant. Which Pineapple Express is it? As it is a 60 to 70 day grow and Cheese Candy is about 65 day.

Looks good shiva. Not as intense in the middle of my tent like it used to be. I was constantly moving plants to try to get them all equal light before. Now it floods the tent. I plan on getting 1 more 600w ballast and one of these hoods in the future when I build my new flower room. Even with shipping I saved $30-$40 compared to the raptor.

That looks seriously dank man. What strain? awesome staircase spiral.
Thanks Shiva, it is all starting to get very sticky n stinky!! Strain is KC Brains - Cristal Limit.

At some point I have to pick which ones to get rid of as i've started a bunch of beans due to what I thought was hermism earlier. Now I have way more than I can handle but luckily the season will be underway in a couple months. Jumped the gun when I should have waited to be sure lol. This pic will show what I mean haha.

IMG_1714.jpg Everything in the left tray is a mix of an outdoor mix (from a friend) crossed with a male Amazon (breeder friend). Labeled BR phenos 3 and 4(purple) The right side of the other tray has some Swiss Cheese (Nirvana) and some Cristal Limit #3 (pinks) crosses from the first batch 3 years ago (profile pic). All the current phenos are from 3 years ago also. Just playing around with these for now. Plan on picking up some THC Bomb, GDP, and another one that I haven't decided on yet. Such a big list to choose from. Btw I only grow regs as I gave up on fems after most of mine going hermie (outdoors), incase anyone has any personal recommendations. Peace!!

Just outside Amsterdam is nice too, lots of smaller more discrete coffee shops with better deals. ... Its quite a querky country geographically speaking too, you'll never see a flatter place in your life, that's why many of the populace ride bicycles. ... I like the accent too, when speaking English they have that slight lisp.

My other favourite European city is Barcelona. That place really has character. I went for 5 days and only slept twice. I think it beats Amsterdam for nightlife and overall character. I'm a fan of architecture of every style and Barcelona has it all, from Gothic to ultra-modern. I really recommend it highly.

Where in Europe would you like to retire Prae?
Hi Moe - sorry it took me a few days to reply, I am right in the middle of moving to the new house...

I would ideally like to live in the Netherlands or Sweden... I have a degree in land use planning and work in the industry... Pretty much all of Europe is what land use planners here in the States try to replicate, including improving bike infrastructure and getting away from suburban, strip mall development patterns... Thanks for the recommendation on Barcelona! Will have to check it out!

I'm thinking after this grow I might try a 2 liter sog experiment. I want to run an even number split into 2 groups and water one set pretty regularly and let the other set dry out really good. I always let my buckets go noticeably dry before I water, still only 3 days with my small bucket size, and don't really have many options running only 2 to 3 plants to try anything different. Just want to mess around and maximize my hempy ability.

Anyone who grows hempys knows the difference between a dry bucket and a DRY bucket just by lifting and feeling the weight. I let mine go pretty dry before I water then I flush every 10-14 days and really let them dry for 4-5 days before I hit them with nutes.

I would like to know what WoH's opinion is on this. Do most of you water daily? Or are there a few dryers out there too?
I go 2-3 days, mostly 3 days.

I water every day past week 4 of flower. It is definitely a lot of work but being new to hempy too but experienced in hydro it just scared me to let roots dry out. It depends on plant size and how many fans/ how much exhaust you have too like Moe says. Crazy that you can go 3 to 4 or even 2 days in two litres though.
Most of the reason why I water every 3 days is the work required. I work 45 hours a week and manage a 85 plant garden, its a lot of work.

Thank you for the link. The Pineapple express from g-13 is the one I was looking at. i used them last year (fem) and it was low odor and I was happy with the results I got from it.

Yeah i work 11-12 hour days myself but i spend half that time in the office like right now lol so i have energy when i get home. Im still going to do at least one hempy because i dig chatting with you guys but next run might just be nft in pvc or a flood table or two just so i dont haeve to pull 40-50 containers out and water daily.

Just finished putting my Critical Kush in jars. My huge top bud that I was excited about ended up being moldy in spots. Pretty bummed out, it weighed 24 1/2 grams dried. I pieced it out and tossed the bad parts. The ones that looked ok I put in a seperate jar, do you think they'll be ok or should I toss them too?

On a happier note, chopping my ch9 Jack tomorrow after work!

Shiva, make sure you at least stop by once in awhile. You would be missed.
