Its not as cool as you think it is lol. Its a shame to watch plant health suffer because I constantly have to leave them rootbound, although it is temporary. The sooner I transplant, the faster they grow. These plants are fuggin weeds after all, and they grow like them. I have six seedlings ready for new containers, I hope half of them are males, HA!

I think you should keep em in grow bags until you decide on a final transplant for flower.
It's unreal how easy transplants are in grow bags man. I know you've heard me regurgitate it over and over but I swear its the truth boss.
That might help out with things a lot...But you're rootball don't seem to be suffering any so I'm not suggesting for that reason..
And hell yeah for some males man. I'm gone get my breed game right one day haha.
Gotta get my art down pact with growing the plant first tho lol...And this could be a minute...or not hahah! I'm on it!
Also I added a little lime to today AACT man and the color of green that might Critical Jack looked was outta this world happy man.
They all looked so happy.
The dude that told me about it used dolomite lime, but I use hi-cal lime which is the same thing, just structured a lil diff. cal/mg percentage wise.
So I'd suggest it at this point bro. Be sure to ask me about it before you make your next to so I can give you the green light or not!
But basically it's your one time cal/mg supplement! BOW!

I don't really have space to use bags for early veg between clone/seed and flower, I have to keep them smaller intentionally
I wish I would have made my early veg box just a bit bigger. If I could find some bags that were like 1/2 gallon for a decent price that would be sweet, but all I can find is plastic grow bags in smaller sizes. I do love bags too, but I only really use them early in veg when I have one that's literally dyin' to get into something bigger. There's only room in there for plants in bigger than 6" pots for a very short period because the next batch of clones is kicking them out in just a few days. Move over bacon! Good work on the lime! I used a fair amount of powdered lime in the tea before last. That shit can tweak the PH range like a mofo lol, i added it to water first and it blew my meter up into the 12's. Overdid it a little and had to try again. I like to top dress with garden lime for a less soluble source but it takes a while for it to break down. I have no choice but to use it now that I'm done using the cal mag. Now all organic!
I'm only hoping 3 are males because I don't have room for anymore ladies!
As I type this I found these - .5 Gallon Grow Bags - I think I'm going to try a couple, thanks for the suggestion S420
EDIT: Just ordered a few of those bags, I think they'll fit nicely.

Nice lad! I went ahead and picked up some more one gals as well. They don't carry the 1/2gals at the shop so I get the 1's.
With those half gals you may be able to start there and skip that solo cup bossman! That's what I was thinking of doing but couldn't source that 1/2gals.
And as far as the lime goes, I've read that plants tend to do a cal/mg thing later into flowering sometimes, so I figured one supplement of the hi-cal lime would be str8! But just a one time thing.
But the more I read man, the more I feel like I'm doin what I need to be ya know?! That link I posted for you to see on my main thread kinda affirms a lot of that! But still, all the shit we read nowadays is pretty much the same thing in different ways so explains the bulk of it...
But yeah bro, we'll see what happens with my second gen crop! I think I got a little closer with the 2nd soil mix! Sure looks like it as of now! We'll see tho!

If you're using FFOF then you def need to add lime in flower, unless you're already adding a fair amount to your mix. WHen I used it I had cal mag deficiencies like clockwork around weeks 3 or 4. I also had a strain called top 44 that gobbled the shit out of cal so I had to supplement it like crazy. Keep up your hard research. It will continue to help all of us S420.
My next soil mix will use 1 cup of powdered lime per cubic foot of base soil mix (pro-mix). Seems like a crazy amount but it makes sense to me because I feel like Subcool's mix is a little light. I'd prefer it to be in the mix than have to add lime to teas. I don't like using powdered lime unless its in soil because of the PH spike, and it seems like dolomite lime just takes a bit too long to start working when its an emergency. Kudos to using it in tea, probably the best way to make it immediately soluble as I see it, and if you use it before the plants need it then you're absolutely golden! Check out "fast acting lime" if you haven't already. Its pulverized to make it more soluble and I've had good luck with it.

when I was started learning about mixing my soil, oh back in September or so, I had a lot of help from a local grower that I met on Grasscity.
She told me that I shouldn't use the fast acting lime in the soil, and that I should use dolomite or either hi-cal lime.
Lucky for me I chose hi-cal rather than dolomite anyways, and everything's worked out since.
Reason being tho, the quick lime is fast acting so it could cause a swing in ph whereas the dolomite and hi cal are a bit more slow release like everything else we amend soil with. BUT in the AACTs, could be a VERY GOOD thing like you suggested, like rock phosphate is GREAT for AACTs but not so good in soil as it works quickly...
But ayways, I will keep digging bossman and WE will get it perfectly right sooner than later

-1.5cubic feet Fox Farm Ocean Forest
-38cups Wiggle Worms Earthworm Casting (1-0-0)
-10cups Perlite(may add more eventually)

Whoever made up the rule that the veg room should be 1/3 the flower room was mother fucking full of it. At one point I had to put up a 5x10 veg tent to match my 4.5x9 flower room! The only time you could get away with a little veg room with few problems is in a little micro grow, imo. I have a friend that has a 2.5x2.5x2.5 veg box and a 2x5x4 grow box all linked together and actually makes an awesome perpetual garden, lol.I'll have some veg updates tonight. Didn't make it to the flower box b/c my battery died. I decided against transplanting the KF for the time being. I'm gonna have to reveg her to get cuts and I made the decision due to space constraints. I have virtually zero extra space and putting an 8 gallon back in late veg to reveg is going to suck as it is. My early veg box is already full of plants that are ready to transplant. Why did I take on yet MORE new strains!? KF's condition has not improved after two feedings with my amended tea recipe (added N) but she's still producing and frosting. I'll ride her out and keep throwing food at her. She should be fine but not as good as she could be
The majority of my veg updates will be Querkle bush. This bitch cannot be stopped, I need to get her into flower ASAP! Waiting for an AK to come down early next week and I'm hoping to place her in the dbl 600 tent. If she flowers like she veges I'm in for a nice harvest from her. She could probably take up a 3 x 3 tent on her own, but I'll cram her badonkadonk in there lol.

Ive used it without adding and was just fine.Seems to me if I added more my medium wouldnt hold moisture the way i like and need alot more watering.I know your ammending it with alot but still doesnt it drain Ok?And with Smart pots aireration,Is greatly improved,Am i missing something.....

Man it takes me about an hour to water each plant just about! And I water them nice and slow, and over the course of two waterings so that everything soaks in!
We'll find out sooner than later what happens haha. The soil mix from above has 1/3 the perlite in it that my original mix has,so I did cut back A LOT, just not entirely

I tricked her into going into the pet store with me to buy them lol. She was NOT happy. By the time I got them home she wanted to be there when I released them into their new home and even wanted to pet one.
