Hi guys,

Firstly, thanks to everyone on this website. I have learned so much from you guys. It is because of you people that I realised I can do this and got enough balls to spend so much money on this. Plus it is almost impossible to get good pot here. Whatever strains you guys talk about I have never smoked apart from purple haze that a friend had sneaked from Amsterdam. I really want to do this right.

my last grow was a failure as I had to go out of town for a month and plants died. Now starting fresh.
Have built a grow cabinet which has 3x2x5 width x depth x hight flowering chamber. Gonna b using a 400 watt hps throughout at 12/12. The HPS is housed in a cool tube.

I was supposed to start with northern lights and ak48 but u fortunately my beans got stolen while I was away.
Now placed a new order. Waiting for them to arrive.

This is what I ordered and got 6 seeds free.

Name Quantity Cost
AK48 Option 1: feminised. 5 £24.50
White Widow Option 1: feminised. 5 £24.50
2x Sleetstack x Skunk1 Reg 1 FREE
1x White Widow x White Widow Fem 1 FREE
1x Auto NL x Auto Jack Fem 1 FREE
1x Auto Somango Fem 1 FREE
1x Black Domina x Cheese Fem 1 FREE

These should be here in another week.

I was thinking of buying jungle juice by AN and using Lucas formula along with some Epsom salt.
What do you guys think?

p.s. sorry no pics as of now. Would update with pictures once I clean my grow cabinet and get the beans.

Keep blazin :joint:

I'm commenting specifically because I have the exact same setup as far as dimensions and lighting goes, although my 400 is in an air cooled reflector not a cool tube. This is completely dependent on your desires, but I assume you are also growing entirely for yourself and not for profit - I wouldn't grow more than 2 plants at a time. In fact, I have one plant flowering in my box right now and before I did two and I think the single plant in that area is just killing it. Veg time was twice as long and I did a lot of LST training and tied down a lot of shit but it's better to have plenty of room for your girl to breathe than trying to break a QP by stuffing plants in 30cuft. Also on your nutrient choices, I've really only heard sub-par things about AN but solid things about Lucas. I use Fox Farms main line with some GH and Humbolt additives, but that's only because those are what I bought from day one and some things friends gave me. After seeing people do side-by-side comparisons and get equal results with the cheaper GH and Dyna line I will be replacing my nutrients with said cheaper nutrients when the time comes! Good luck!

if you want to grow in coco and use the Lucas Formula I would get a PH pen for sure, and consider some Perlite or atleast some Lega nuts in the coco (20%) to help draining ..

when I use the Lucas (with GH nuts) in coco, I like to mix a 1/4 ts of epsom salt per gallon of water, every time, to provide Magnesium and sulfate but in coco you will also need some Ca (calcium) so a bottle of Ca/Mg+ would be a thing to consider as well, coco have a way to lock in the calcium

start out with 1/4 strength in nuts wile seedlings and up it to 1/2 strength once you have small Veg plants with a few set of "real" leaf`s, once settled in there final pots (I would start em out in cups then repot to 1 gallon and end in 3-5 gallon depending on your Veg time/size of plants) I would begin on full strength, specially fist few weeks of 12-12/flowering

and insted of Jungle Juice look in to GH`s products (jungle juice is just a copy of GH or so I was told by my hydro guy once)
I have grown with flora duo with good results both in soil and coco, but I have heard really good things about floraNova so try to look in to that as well, only one bottle needed and of course the Ca/Mg+ when in coco IMO

here is a little info on the subject:

Well guys, m planning to do 12/12 from clone. So while white widow n ak48 get ready m gonna grow the autos. Till autos finish the mothers wd be in mother chamber, m planning to do a sog with 4-6 clones in 12 inch pots in there.
I have another seedling/cloning chamber where I wd be rooting the clones b4 u put them in final pots.

Now about advanced nutes. As far as I read. The jungle juice has more calcium so I think I won't need cal mag+ if I add some Epsom salt. And would really like to go for another brand but nothing is available here in india. AN also started selling their products this month.

Thanks for all your replies guys.

Thanks man.

Just call on the number given on the website of plant genome sciences. And trust me I tried growing with CFLs. It's not worth the time and effort. Get a 250 watt hps. It'll set u back around 2-2.5k for full setup. Get a holder, a ballast, igniter and capacitor. Wire it n make ur own hood.

Worked 10 hours straight today and assembled my cool tube and venting in the grow cab. Here's how it looks. Now some wiring work left and have to put another small fan to blow air on plants.

You will probably experience ALOT of heat from this setup.

Is that a PC fan to cool 400w???

If so it may help to keep your light high and raise your plants to it so that the ducting and light are in a straight line. That fan movement is gonna hit that 90 bend in your ducting and not go anywhere.

M planning to turn the lights on at night. Outside temps here at night are 14-16 degree Celsius. When I had measured the light on temp without the cool tube at night, it was 31 degrees. Now with the cool tube it's much cooler. I couldn't measure as I returned the thermometer to my friend and have to buy one this weekend. Also would be running a 9 inch wall fan in there blowing at the light constantly. If nothing works. My ballast is switchable and I can use a 250w in there.

Thee were no inline high cfm fans available here. The ones those were available were over 800 USD.
m using high performance 120mm CPU fans. Two of those. Each rated at 75cfm. And a main exhaust rated at 250 cfm.

I'm just doing my first grow 400w HPS coco, I have nothing to judge it against but as far as I can tell it's a damn good combo. Some of the bud's are literally white with trichromes, 25% RH oh yeah :D
