Hello fellow growers. I'm attempting my first rdwc system as opposed to the usual dwc I've done in the past.

I'm using general hydroponics line up with a single 400w hps lamp.
I have done plenty of soil grows and am ready to try this out as it seems easier to keep the plant happy. Stay tuned, the pictures will be up soon!!!

Alright guys so I have some pictures up but obviously not what I was hoping for. I'll make an attempt to enlarge the pictures but I'm not too sure on how to go about doing that yet...

That said, if you get your macro-scopes out to look at these pics you can pretty much see the whole set up.. The first couple of pictures show the white widow. She's still in veg as I have to fix a leak in the rdwc drain off pipe.. But you can see she is a bush!! you can see the two little seedsman skunk ladies that will be going into flower in a good 5 weeks.. the 4th picture is my two rooms.. Both are 4'x4'x8'. I made it out of 2x4's and some black plastic tarp. Pretty easy to do yourself if you need a cheap room.. You can see I have ducting running through both hoods with my filter at the top corner ... There's a couple sneak peak of my last soil crop going right now as well.. Thats also seedsman skunk, about 4 weeks in. and lastly you can see the rdwc system and get an idea of how its gonna be ran...

Sorry I haven't done much with this journal. But apparently it wasn't very appealing to many people  But here is an update...

The WW is currently finishing up its 6th week of flower.. The cheese is now finishing up its 3rd week of flower... Both are looking very healthy so far. I haven't had much trouble with the new hydro system either so I'm pleased with that. But I'm too tired and stoned to type anything else so here's some pictures...

Thanks for the kind words Robert. They're starting to get pretty frosty so I'm gettin giddy. Still gotta see if I'm gonna have to let her go an extra week or not. We'll see. Thanks again for stopping by.

They look frosty, should have some nice head stash for yourself
Thank you! I'm hoping it turns out pretty well. Still has another 2 weeks left so I'm anxious to see what I'll end up with. So far it's surpassing all my soil grows in terms of quality.

is it recirculating between one bucket and one tub only? can you explain how it works in a little more detail?
Yea you got it. I have a storage tub under a table that is used as the main resivour. Then I have a water pump hooked up to PVC and tubing that feeds to the 5 gallon bucket that the lady sits in. Then there's an overflow hole about 3/4 up the bucket that drains back into the resivour.

with the extra solution you probably dont change your mix out more that 2 or 3 times for the duration. simple and effective... i like it. short of hp aero dwc is where it is at.

Well the widow still manages to drink a little more than 1 gallon a day surprisingly. I only mix up a 12 gallon solution mixture in the res so I still change it and mix a new solution every week. But it helps A LOT! Without the extra res it would be a daily chore adding water. Doing it this way just leaves me to monitoring the ph.
But I checked out your grow you have going and I gotta say its impressive ! It makes me want to go back to a 600w.

yeah that makes sense. i was thinkin it might hold more like 18-20 gallons and with one plant you could get away with just adding back for days on end. i have a couple recirculating systems that hold 20 and 30(3 and 4 plant) gallons and i can usually get 10 days in before they deplete the solution to the point where i have to change out. its nice not having to mess with the lid that the plant is in and do most of the work in the res. anyway, your show looks great! keep up the good work!!
