i just replaced the engine in my truck, never done it before and never read anything on it. jumped into it, came across a few problems. reserched them when i came across them.....truck was up and running in 4 days start to finish and that was with putting all new gaskets in the new motor.

so again i say.....good day.

You're full of shit!! I'm a veteran mechanic, and no one rebuilds an engine without some kind of experience or previous knowledge!!

Dude, we're just growing a plant here. It's one if the most basic skills ever developed by humanity and is largely intrinsic. You don't need to read a manual to grow a plant. Once you do grow one out, more refinement and questions are sure to arise. That's how you improve as a grower.

I agree, it is fairly easy to grow MJ, IF, and that's a big IF a person does research before they grow. People that don't do research are the ones who run in circles with a plant that should be shit canned. I guess that's fine; if you like growing shit, and don't give a rats ass that you're wasting time, money, and energy, go ahead and just throw seeds in the ground and pray for rain.

No offense, but that's the bonehead, lazy way to grow ANY plant. In fact, that's one major problem with Society today; fucking laziness. I don't have time to pat the ass of someone who won't connect the dots.

I often wonder about the parents of those who post while doing no homework . What values did they instill if any within there children .
My mom taught us all that if we were to care for anything alive that we need to study and do our homework in order to provide the best care possible while having a better understanding of such whether it be a dog plant or exotic

It's not rocket science...once you get a few grows under your belt , it's pretty hard to screw up.

I just peruse these boards anymore just to get a good laugh now and then.

I do agree research and basic understanding are crucial to getting started though....but in the end it is not that frigging hard to grow great ganja !

Granted, even growers who already "knew it all" have gained so much from asking questions on this site, but there are some pretty ignorant people here who refuse to do anything but ask someone to tell them how to do it right, they have no desire to actually learn anything about their plants, its just about getting it done and getting high. Nothing wrong with the latter, but to get high on your own crop you need to put some effort into learning a few things.

I saw one just the other day a guy burned one single fan leaf for part of a day with a cfl, and he was about to throw the whole damn plant away because of a single fan leaf. Just fucking dumb stuff that children can figure out. I don't mind answering questions that actually require knowledge of plant life, but this shit has gotten out of control imo. No one does fuck all for reading the stickies anymore, and these dudes will be 4 weeks into flower and then start asking if they need to give it nutes when the plant is pretty much dead from abuse.

I mean, wtf? I have no problem helping a dude out that wants to learn, but if I think you just want to get high and learning about growing your own isn't in your agenda, then fuck you and your sick, dying plants. Holding hands is for those who need help up, not so I can drag your worthless ass to the finish line.

Is it just me, or does it seem like people don't know what the fuck they are doing when trying to grow quality MJ. I've seen some pictures in the last few days, where the plants look like total shit and they are asking for advice on what to do after the plants look like they are ready for the cemetery.

Before I started my first grow, I spent weeks online researching the correct way to grow MMJ. And, it paid off. I did have problems, but my plants matured nicely and the finished bud was killer.

IMHO, there is no excuse in this day and age. Anyone can get online and find a truck-load of information about becoming a good and experienced grower. And, if a person will listen and learn, the very first plant they grow can yield a nice harvest.

When a plant is less than 1 foot tall, and it’s been in the ground for over 3 months, this is my piece of advice: Do some dam research, BEFORE, you decide to grow! You’ll save yourself time, energy, money, and you’ll be stoned in 3-4 months, instead of crying over a plant that won’t give you shit in the end!

aside from that, some people have better skills/abilities in general, and some people have a hard time just learning period.
So thats what I think RIU is here for, but thats just me.
I totally agree with ya though, one should take the time to know what to expect and how to possibly deal with it.

Find one post on this Thread where someone is referring to people who are looking for a legitimate answer to a grow problem. We are talking about people who refuse to do their homework before coming on here, wanting to save an 8" plant that is 3 1/2 months old. This, my friend, is bullshit!!!
