Possibly but all I know is, dogs are much easier to train than cats. You don't necessarily need to be a dog whisperer to train a dog. I've had an equal amount of dogs and cats (mostly outside cats so that may be the problem) but that cat my brother had was an inside and it would just never listen. I've had 3 dogs in my life, a little smack on the butt and some simple commands, they learn quickly, maybe I just don't have patience for cats, which is why I don't like them maybe. It's like they know they're doing wrong but they don't care, dogs will show expressions like they're saying sorry, more emotion.

I'm having a real hard time believing some of this but I have seen it before on America's funniest videos so I can't say bs either lol. Like I've said tho, maybe I just don't have the time and patience for a cat, I have had good times with the cats I've been around, just saying a dog has never been a dick towards me, and again, they're just more useful.Me and my fiancee have 2 cats in our household and even though I enjoy dogs more, cats can still be pretty cool animals to have. Not to mention they are pretty funny to watch "especially on catnip." My cat can talk and he understands everything I say to him, even though he loves to backtalk. As of now he can say, NO!, Hello, Momma and just recently he was acting stupid and I asked him what he was doing and he was like "I don't know." He is hilarious because of how stubborn and arrogant he can be.
My fiancees cat loves her to death and will jump up on her shoulder and stay there while she walks around. He will let her do whatever she wants to him and just sits back and purrs. They each know who there owner is, and they never scratch us or any of our furniture. They have certain things they can play on/with and they have their own 2 story cage that they go to at night as soon as we tell them bedtime.

Not denying that, and I completely understand what you're saying. I can honestly say that I never expected to be a cat owner, nor did I expect them to act like they do. We have some very "special" type of cats. Whether they got it from they way we treat them or whatever. I have been very strict with our cats and they act a lot like a dog would in some instances. I never trained my cat to talk, but he started doing it when he was a kitten telling me NO! whenever I would pick him up and toss him in the air and shit. He now loves to be thrown from one couch to the other. He also loves to tell me No, since he figured out that I enjoyed it when he said it. The only downfall is that now he has to say it whenever I pick him up.
