On 240V, 12x 1000W lights will pull about 55-60A. On 120V, obviously 110-120A.
so if i have a 200 amp breaker do you think there eould be room? right now the house is wired for 8,000watts i ran that for over a year str8. im running 10 1ks for flower and 3 8bulb t5s for veg plus 16 inch wallmount fans and 3 vortex 8inch exhaust fans

You could consider adding a separate power meter. people do it all the time, maybe for their garage, or workshop. It would give you the added benefit of showing you exact cost. Then youll have a whole new 200a service to play with, and wont have to worry bout the house shutting down the grow, or vice/versa, due to a problem.

its not such a good idea if you are worried about red flags at the utility co

a extra sub panel box in the house for you to plug into instead of the existing wiring would be a safe thing
