*CFL closet grow- First Time*

Hello everyone, I am new here, and this is my first time ever growing anything. I am only growing one plant in my closet for now, These pictures are the plant on its 7th day, It is a random seed from "Vancouver Island Seed Co" I have 3 lights on it, the top one is a 40w soft white spectrum, and the two sides ones are 26w cool white spectrum. I dont have a fan on it at moment, I dont have a means to measure ph yet, and i havent been giving any ferts. Any comments would be highly appreciated.
 
I run one fan 24/7 it helps to strengthen the stalks of the plant like in nature. You dont need a very big fan with CFL's. Two fans (a fan at light level to blow away any hot air and move the tip of the stalk around) and an extractor fan to get any trapped hot air above out works wonderfully. The extractor can be set to just run for an hour every four hours or so easily with a timer.
 
when I can i leave my closet open, with a open window right beside it, so i assume this also helps circulate fresh air. thanks for all the tips.
 
ya,running a fan especially in the early stages of growth is important.As soon as they are visible you should have fan blowing lightly to stimulate stock growth.This will lead to big buds once you flower.By the way guy....you should really grow 2-4 plants as you might end up with a male.All the effort for nothing.:peace:
 
The window does help circulate air, but unless you live on a beach where there is always a breeze, it may not cut it. Get a cheap fan from walmart or some other retail store for like 4 bucks, just enough to blow the plants lightly around and move air.
 
alright, il try to pick up a fan soon then, im just hoping i can get one that doesnt make too much noise, as the closet is right beside my bed, and i dont want it to be making noise all night.
 
well I actually just went out and found a fan sitting outside by the dumpster, seems to work perfectly, so i just set that up now blowing on my plant on the weakest setting. Here are some pics from right now, Day 11, are the leaves drooping too much?

she looked kinda overwatered. I personally wait until the soil is dry about 2"-3" deep, or until the soil is so dry I cant stick my finger in the soil...thats when i water.

and try not to feed nutes until the first 2 leaves turn yellow..or if you are using pre-ferted soil wait until you go into flowering to start feeding nutes.

the fan would help to dry the soil a little faster if you aim it directly at the face of the soil, but besides that its mainly to build stronger stems and to circulate co2 around the foliage.
 
Yea dude, definitely overwatering...noticed it in my plants earlier...it happens no biggie...just follow Spittin4Cash's idea, stick your finger in the soil, if it's moist you are good, dry time to water.
 
turns out i was most likely under watering it not over watering it, i was watering it often but just not with nearly enough water, im new to growing anything, hahah, but i gave it a large soaking on the soil last night, and it seems to have speed up the growth process, and its looking somehwhat better, il post pics later today if anyone is interested.
 
i dont think those are small, my plants are about 5-6 weeks and there all still like 4 in.
