So a year ago I contemplated about growing my own stash and bought a reflector a year ago. Well come to find out I didn't buy the right one, present time, and so I saw thta a hydroponic store would buy my used equipment and was gonna use that cash to pay for the nutrients I needed. Upon arriving at the store I noticed that their store wasn't open but the online store was :/ so I decide to drive to the closest hydroponic store and had to pay for all my nutrients with my debit card :/ as I hand her my debit card she motions like she was gonna slide the card but then asks me for my drivers license and writes it down. Am I just being paranoid and should I wait before I start growing or should I abandon ship? She seemed like a new worker and had a hard time answering questions I had. I live in tx btw

that is pretty odd that she would write your DL# down. its not uncommon for clerks to ask to see it when paying with credit or debit cards but i can think of no reason to write it down.

a good rule of thumb is to always pay in cash when purchasing growing supplies. I'm guilty of forgetting cash from time to time also but i try.

If you used it as a credit card they should check id and signatures. Probably no need to worry at all.

Yea I have consumed ALOT of knowledge over the last 4 months and spent quite a bit of money on this so I would hate to see my grow box turned into a freaking vegetable garden :-/ even tho im gonna grow some vegetables when I get the hang of the whole gardening thing

there is nothing illegal about buying nutrients or even a hid bulb or a ballast or hood or w/e else is involved in growing as it can be used to grow anything from veggies to cannabis.. the point is, no one knows what you're growing when you purchase this equipment..

^ What bobtokes said.... if you paid with a check, then I can see righting the license number down on the check... but for a credit card/debit card purchase, if you signed/entered pin then that is enough.. but I have no clue why she would write that information down. I would not have been happy and demanded an explanation to why she did this peculiar thing.
