Dont have a scale. Need input.

Would anyone here have an aproximation of how much bud will fit into a 5 quart container. I figure with some luck a fellow member may have done this. Or even just a simple way to guess would helpDSCN1949.jpgDSCN1950.jpgDSCN1951.jpg

When there is no scale best thing to do is eyeball it by the gram, you know 2 blunts is a gram. So eyeball it 2 blunts at a time, it may take a little time but youll have a good estimate of how much you have

There is no way to really tell by just looking at the pic as we dont know the density of the nugs, but Im gonna guestimate 2.5 - 3 oz's

2 blunts is a gram??? Guess it's not an easy way to eyeball it then because to me 1 blunt is 2g minimum.

Just take a random guess. Because well, unless you're trying to sell it to someone, then it really doesn't matter what it weighs. 2-3 ounces. Why not.

If you really want to know though, then most people own a pair of scales in their kitchen, and if you for some reason don't own any kitchen scales, then make a simple balance using a piece of wood and some coins.

Easy answer.
Get a pencil/pen and ruler and a load of coins.
Find the weight of the coins on the internet.
Make a simple scale, balancing the rule on the pen (at 90 degrees) and adding coins to one side, weed to the other.
Make sure both sides of the rule are loaded with coins at an even distance in from the ends for accuracy.

Much thanks goes out to you all, for sure! Again R.I.U. you count on something that plainly just works and that is right here on this the greatest forum on the planet. To point out, the jar is not packed tight and the nug is medium to moderatley dense. Realstyles has given me a good aproximation to go by. And now cues with a really cool fun way. Awesome

How do you not have a DIGI... lol... You need to invest in one right now!!
Because unless you're selling it, there is no need. I just bought a cheap plastic 99p set of kitchen scales. Sure they measure to about 5-10g, but the weight is for nothing but curiosity, it doesn't really matter that i don't know it to a T

I'm gonna say 1/2 pound. If you can rig up some scale or maybe use a postage scale, keep in mind that a nickle weighs exactly 5 grams.

2 grams for 1 blunt? So your putting a twenty bag in 1 blunt? If im not mistaken, but your suppose to get at least 4 blunts from 2 grams, from googles knowledge that is

When I cure, I use those jars, they rule. (Perfect Cure Every Time, thanks simon)
I just pulled some ISS out of one and it was a hair under 5 ounces. There were some large stems (removed before weighing) in there and I never pack it too full. There was room at the top. ISS is a bit fluffy.
If those are all nugs and somewhat packed, you could have 7 or 8 ounces easily. If that were dense pot like the Purps, which is really dense and crappy, you would have more.

You can get a .1 digital scale for $5-$10 on ebay.

You have got to be high lol. Where im from a blunt is usually around 3 to 5 grams. If someone rolled a half gram blunt or joint I wouldnt even hit it.

If its good and dense smoke you can easily put 2 to 2.5 ounces in a quart jar if its fluffy then maybe 1.5 ounces per quart jar. hope this helps.

What on earth has google got to do with my smoking habits? yes, it would be at least a 20 bag in a blunt, at a minimum, but i do not roll blunts if i have to be buying, because as said, that's a 20 bag for a smoke. I will only roll blunts if i have homegrown around, because then it's just free weed pretty much. I am not a believer of being conservative when smoking. I would much rather smoke one larger joint or blunt than a handful of small ones. As with the poster above, if someone skimps out on a smoke, then i simply refuse it, not worth my time, would rather stay sober.

Seriously? A normal joint is around a gram. A blunt should be twice that. A pinner joint is half gram.

Personally. I think thats the advantage to growing your own. Who cares? The misses moans at me all day long about not rolling big ones. My attitude is, "If you want some, its there, throw some in your roll-up or a pipe. I ain't going to sit here rolling for you. Had enough trouble growing the stuff..."
