Advanced nutrients question

yo guys im looking into buying some good nutes instead of using miracle gro and i saw Advanced Nutrients Grow, Micro, Bloom (ph perfect) set. My question is, can i use just these 3 or do i have to go and buy big bud, bud candy etc because this set only cost 37.30 and i can get this but i just need to know if just using these 3 will be good enough.

Is there a particular reason why you're trying to make things really hard for yourself? Why use a 3 part when it sounds like you're growing in the dirt? Look into Jacks, DynaGro, maxigrow, floranova, etc. There are plenty of high quality, easy to use formulas out there. Don't make this harder than it has to be.

Yes the 3-part Sensi PH-perfect is good to go by itself. So is the 2-part Sensi PH-perfect. Both lines have extra humic and fulvic acid, amino's, and wetting agents . If you are a pure botanical rookie get this stuff and run in coco or pro-mix . This way you don't have to worry about any PH or EC pens, just mix and apply.

Yes, you can use the Advanced Nutrients Grow, Micro, and Bloom on their own. I wouldn't, but I've heard of other folks do it without any problems. I mean, I'm happy to spend a little more time in my grow room for good results, but I understand some folks don't want to.

Good luck with this! Anything is better than Miracle Grow. LOL

Just fyi, I was using the old formula of AN Micro, Grow and Bloom for a hydro grow until the plants showed male -- the plants were ridiculously healthy, super fast-growing. Just amazing. The only additional supplement I needed was CalMag. Now, I never got to flower because they were male, but the three-part system was easy to use and adjust. For every liter of water I used a teaspoon of each. Simple. Then when I thought I could use a little more nitrogen, I could just up the Micro (where most of the nitrogen is).

That formula is somewhat different than the ph perfect line, but the theory is the same. If you use one of these systems, you don't need anything else for your first few grows. After you have some experience, then you can add something else to see the results. But it's not necessary.

I would seriously consider and look in to GH FloraNova.. everyone i know that uses this stuff (dirt or hydro) has had some amazing crops.. I wont run it in my hydro setup personally because it has the consistency of mud and hate to gunk up my lines with the stuff.. But the results im seeing have been so positive i struggle with my decision to not use the stuff almost everyday.

I've had nothing but great experience with Advanced Nutrients. I'm naturally skeptical of anyone who has nothing but negativity to say about them.

You can tell a lot of the haters have no real experience with any of the products they're badmouthing, like a blind prude condemning the pictures in Playboy as being offensive.


To answer your question, you'll be just fine with the 3-part base nutes. In fact, you'll be better off than the guys who buy everything on the shelf their first time growing and think it's going to make them "Master Growers".

Sure you can use the "ph perfect" 3 part advanced.....

You can also use CNS-17, DynaGRO, Floranova, Roots Organic, BIOBIZZ, Earth Juice and a million other options that may or may not be better for your given convictions, financial state, and grow style.

You have a lot of options and there are many of us growers that believe Advanced is preying upon those that don't know any better, get caught up by flashy bottles and have lots of extra disposable income. Humboldt Nutrients IMHO is actually worse then advanced because they just don't have near the track record of quality that advanced does. Not saying Advanced quality or track record is anything special just at least I feel safe knowing that they will do a decent job. I don't feel though the dollar cost to performance of Advanced is worth it.

One of my biggest personal beef with the "Cannabis specific" nute industry is they are now taking out or separating nutrients, elements, and etc. in to multiple bottles in order to boost product lines and make more sales since in their mind like I had said above we have "disposible income from ill-gotten, questionable, or etc. sources" so they just figure hey why give em 1 2 or even 3 bottles when we can given them a feed chart that has like 12-15 different products if we just separate them out. Which also then cause chleating issues, percipitate issues, mixing and ph buffering issues just to name a few.

@xxEMO Disagree bro. Advanced is moving in the opposite direction: They now have Sensi's PH Perfect's 5 in one product for example which works fine by itself. I just couldn't recommend any other base for a noob. No Ph/ppm pen, measure- feed. Perfect base to watch the plant grow. Sensi is actually Sensi + F-1 + H-2 + Aminos + Wet Betty. They don't say it but everything in Big Bud is in the Sensi base also. Bud Candy is Carboload + Leaf + Vitamins (B-52?). Ancient Earth is F-1 and H-2 combined.

As for rich noobs, so what if they are getting ripped. Why is everyone worried about them? I hate the ripping off of the sick who just want to grow their own meds, not the noob profiteer who exploits the meds for mass profits from recreational users.

All you have to do is google them and you will find articles about them lying about what is in their product, I have personally talked to store owners that get fucked over by AN by sending wrong orders 10 times!!! Then don't even do good on their "100% money back guarantee"

An is a shady money hungry marketing machine.

If you buy into it you are just paying extra money for more filtered water and the effort it takes them to bottle each element separately, oh also the Pot head appealing art on the bottle.

To answer the OP Yea you can use the 3 part AN and your plants will be fine.

I wouldn't even shit on an AN product it is lower than low. The only thing I will give them props for is getting suckers to buy into their genius marketing.

Everyone hate son them because it is a well known FACT!! that they are a shady company that doesn't come through on their own guarantees, and is horrible to deal with.

Those are not rumors man, they are facts! When people hate on AN they are not hating on the elements they sell. They are hating on the company and the way they package and market their products.

They make decent quality chemical mixtures, BUT there is absolutely no need whatsoever to put them into 20 different bottles and charge $35-$180 a piece and almost $800 for the entire line then they say if you aren't satisfied "100% money back" and they don't even honor that!
