Hi Guys!!

Is it ok to sleep with your colleagues? When is it not? Could it ruin your working relationship? Lead to a promotion maybe? Life's too short so act now and think later?

Im sure a few of you have been in this position so spill the beans!! ;)

its good for as long as it lasts but as soon as one is not pleased all hell breaks loose.

My thoughts are it is not worth the headache if you have a job you wish to keep.

One of my friends has had 2 boyf in the same office within 6 mths and she's cool with both of them and the new girlfriend, also in the same office. It is quite a large company though!!

If you don't mind being made out to be the office slut in the event things go south I say go for it.

I actually think that's really nice. Even as someone who is quite insecure, I can't stand jealous types who stop seeing 'people' and just see 'the ex' or 'the competition'. If it didn't work out with the first guy they were mature enough to say 'no hard feelings' and get on with the new girlfriend. (assuming he didn't dump her, or they were clearly not working out, rather than her still wanting him because that would be heartbreaking... I've been there, watching the objet of my affection with FIVE other women while we worked/lived together. Awkward, but liking the other girl really helps)

I can also understand the office becoming some people's entire world and they might not date or anything outside it, so they end up whoring themselves around the entire office... can get messy. But yeah if you are always with the same people, and always working, when it comes to fun time wouldn't you look across the desk for the person to let your hair down with, or simply want to get silly with them out of pure curiosity. You've been seeing that same chick with a pinstriped blouse and pencil skirt that makes her ass look amazing for 5 years now... You want to know what it'd feel like to tap that... I guess.

I don't like the idea of 'categorizing'; certain people as 'off limits'. You should fall in love with a person for being that person no matter who or what they are. I suppose being perpetually friendzoned fueled this bias for me lol. But I suppose you people don't always put 'sleeping with' and 'loving' or 'dating' together.

I guess one just shouldn't whore themselves in the first place. Hey, you said sleep with your workmates. Plurally. Outrageous.

no it is not ok to sleep around the office. word will go around and once you are labeled the slut there's no going back.

this goes for men and women. there's plenty of people who do not work with you to sleep with who are great at sex. no need to ruin your rep at work.

I've had some fun with several of my coworkers when I worked for a research company. Always outside of my department though. If you can maintain professionalism in the work place then I don't see a problem. Unless you're going at it like rabbits in the office. That's a no-no.

Hey, that's why. I've got a reputation to maintain!!!!

No. We're not working in an office and I'm very much one of the boys in this team. Not worried abt that.

Im glad it's worked out well for her but at the time I advised her against it. Should listen to my own advice really. In Spain people start and finish work later so they all go off for tapas after work. Very social office.

Workmate(s) plural - u never know who's round the corner!! Worried I'll end up with cobwebs!!

When is it ok? When you're horny.

Unless you boss clearly doesn't want any sexual relationships between workers.

i wouldnt suggest it. people go gettin attatched and its just all bad from there. that very action resulted in a failed marriage for me.

It's a tough one. The first night he met me he didn't know who I was. Then he was introduced to me and we smoked his hash oil and all sorts for hours. He was on me for hours, trying to get my number and go for dinner and I was having none of it. I've seen him since quickly and he was really shy. Maybe now he knows we're gonna be working he's gonna step back. Maybe the drugs were just good that night??!!

But you don't have to sleep around the office. How about date one cute secretary and go steady ^^; But you are right, no one wants to be labeled the slut and the reputation would follow you around and ruin your professional reputation. I've seen too many office dramas where one guy screws all the women, they end up feeling like hos for fucking the pimp and he is exposed for unpleasant person he is.. However much men boast about how many people they've slept with, not one likes a man ho really.

And for the women there often seems to be this confusing duality where half the time he is a 'self-empowered' and adored temptress who is in control and knows what she wants and the other half of the time the same woman is scorned. It's a difficult one eh.

Lahada you seem like a nice person with a good set of morals. I say go for it. And if you, being a nice girl, think dating your coworker is 'wrong' I say give it a go ^^. My first ever sort-of-one-night-stand turned into my first (and hopefully last) relationship, even though some may think me slutty for it.

You have a good head on your shoulders, and I get the feeling you have a good heart, too. If your boss knows, why not? Just don't go ito it thinking yo will break up a month later and have to face the awkwardness in the office for the rest of your employment.

So you don't want to sleep with this guy?

I think it would be fine as long as you guys stay focused on the job.. Don't start making out all over the place like horny HS kids.

No I liked him but not enough to just go off with him hours after meeting him. Plus I knew I'd be seeing him around. We've got a lot of work to do and it takes priority.

Ive just got a soft spot for fit Italians. The Spanish are too short for me and they lisp a lot.
