I can't really say right now. Ask me in 5 weeks.
I think they are good value compared to all those UFO lights but
i think he needs to add more hyper red (660nm).
If i could go back in time i would of saved a bit more money and bought another
70w from phantphotonics. But i think Han's panel is very capable
of producing good results for 1 plant or a few small plants.
I will probably use it as side lighting or mother/clone light and
get another 70w from pp. Have you actually run the panel on the full flower setting for a while?
I guess will see in five weeks............hope you update us...........Not on full flower since i tested it for half a day for room temps couple weeks ago......Ran it shortly on early flower phase, but quickly changed it to growth phase due to possible stunting/ still don't know if that was the case...........

I went to Plant Photonics web site. I like their story; and especially the 70w Amethyst long panels. Why don't they list prices? Makes me think they deal as they feel they need to. Oh and they are in Spain, but so is EVO

I can see the prices! If you 'click here for more info'
that opens up a new tab page. Scroll to the bottom.. Maybe it's your browser?

Are right.. Custom built panels don't show prices but i'd imagine
tthat one would cost around the same as the other 70w, which is £199GBP.

Hi PetFlora
I am the guy who owns Plant Photonics. Glad you found the links. I am going to change the site around a bit tomorrow with proper buttons as it is a bit hard to tell where to click.
I had a go at the web designer, now I have to sleep on the sofa tonight ;)
What wrong with my being in Spain? As its EU theres no customs to pay and the post is good here although I now use a courier. Plus I get to see the sun! Been checking the weather forecasts for the UK, very glad Im here and not back in blighty. It was 35C here today!
Anyway, any questions please ask!
Nice to have you in the discussion..........Yeah you definitely need to update your price listing especially in US dollars with the different options.........I'm wondering why you charge so much to add a switch (veg-flower)? and when you say 70w does that include the driver and fan or is it just the leds draw??? love the build quality on your panels.......any new designs coming out soon ??ha:)

HE'S GOT ONE NEW ... THERE'S THAT VERTICAL THING THAT LOOKS INTERESTING. I THINK THE GUY IS MAKING VERY GOOD PANELS COMPARED TO THE VERY COMMERCIAL ONES ... NEARLY BOUGHT ONE .... IF I WASN'T TO GET INTO DIY. I STILL DON'T LIKE THE ONE YEAR WARRANTY THOUGH, AS I TOLD HIM AT THE TIME ... HE SAID HE WAS LOOKING INTO STRETCHING IT TO 2YRS .... ANYWAY, CREE XPE HIGH BINS REDS, LEDENGIN 5W DEEP RED DRIVEN SOFTER, BRIDGELUX (REAL) FOR THE BLUE AND CREE XR-E FOR THE WHITES DOES SOUND PRETTY KICKING ASS :bigjoint:

I HAVE SEEN A "NOOB" AT HIS FIRST COUPLE OF GROWS GROWING MONSTERS OUT OF A 280W PLANTPHOTONICS PANEL, I SWEAR THEY WERE MONSTERS

I MEAN IF YOU GOT MONEY TO SPEND, INSTEAD OF GIVE THEM TO HGL THAT ARE TOO PRICEY ANYWAY FOR THE TECH INVOLVED (DIODES) ..... OR EVEN LUMIGROW, I AM SORRY TO SAY THIS BUT I AM YET TO FIND OUT WHAT BRAND DIODES LUMIGROW EMPLOYS? THAT CANNOT STAY A MYSTERY WITH THAT MONEY INVOLVED ... EVEN GIVEN THE NICE DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE AND ALL OF THAT? ANYWAY, I'D RATHER GIVE PLANTPHOTONICS A GO IF I WAS TO SPEND MORE

Right on jubiare. I think most manufacturers don't disclose what kind of LEDs they're using because those are probably not so good at all. And people does not seem to give a shit, all we can see is people discussing "5w", "3w" or "1w" LEDs which is nowhere near as relevant as the actual specifications of the LEDs!

That's part of why I would rather choose plantphotonics' or hans' panels over some chinese drop-shipped shit. At least there are some clues about the quality of the components used.

hi JubiARE thanks for the introduction!

we always source the highest quality, most efficient LEDs we can find. I am not privvy to individual components.

I apologize I do not even know

best quality, yeah right.
Best bins for Osrams are $6+/pc and to achieve the very best results you'd have to drive them at 400mA... For 200w that would be $1200 worth of LEDs, plus drivers, PCBs, casing & fans and some more to pay the guy who's designing them panels... If they were actually using the best LEDs out there the panels would cost at least two grand for 200w so I really doubt they're using the best quality LEDs as they seem to claim :D

Edit: but still, lumigrow is quite respectable, the panels aren't drop shipped from China and seem very well made. Well above most panels on the market that's for sure but the price is quite high too! In this business, I guess you get the quality you pay for.

I bet if you call them you'll get a more concrete answer. They probably outsource the chat features and the person has scripts they read from. I doubt they give out their tech specs to them in that much detail.

^^^^^Thanks for your responses.............much appreciated..............so what are your thoughts on removing 400's nm blue led completely and just using white leds as a substitute/full spectrum addition??........I know your employ some (cree)white leds in your panels, just wondering if the blue's are just overkill............I'm very surprised that you think Lumigrow would use automotive grade leds(their junk)...especially at their price point:shock:

Edit: holy shit @ all the deleted comments............well now mine makes no sense:P

Looks like all of Plantphotonics threads have been deleted which is a bit harsh since he contributed some great information. I would of liked to hear his response to puffenough.
Maybe he has 1 of lumigrows panels?

I can ask a mod why you banned plantphotonics please? Was it because he critisized another grow light company? Or was it he posted a link to his own site? Or is it that Lumigrow is a sponsor? I still think deleting the post and a warning would have been sufficient for a first offence, especially given all the posts from employees of companies like black star posing as normal growers.

Yeah, I deleted my response when I saw his posts removed. To be fair, I don't think representatives from companies should be allowed to come in and create doubt about competitors' products. If they want to start up a thread about their light, I'm cool with that, but dont start knocking them for stuff that can't be confirmed without both sides actively participating.
