So tell me guys, i want to start growing a bonsai tree, but I don't have any expierience.
I'll probably start with pomegranate (because you can buy the fruit at store and get the seeds, that a double winner )
Can you advice me other trees/bushes/whatever, that can be used for bonsai and that grow fast?

Edit: don't just jump in saying "bonsai is an art of years" I know that, i just don't want to spend all my life to get it looking good. :D That's why i asked for a fast growing.

Wax-leaf Ligustrum is a great plant to Bonsai. It's also called a Japanese Privet. Check to see if it grows in your area. It's great as a potted plant and is heat and drought tolerant after it's established. It can handle some heavy feeding after it's rooted in a big pot. It is easy to bonsai. The only draw-back is that it will get pretty big as it matures! As high a 10 ft when in the ground - maybe less in a pot. A 20 gallon pot is needed when in a container..... and in the ground, it will grow slower but bigger. You can do an expert bonzai with these, too but you need to be skilled! I have 3 in the ground on my property but I don't bonzai them, I'm only trimming them into multi-trunked trees. They are very forgiving if you are a beginer!

Here's a google search for wax-leaf ligustrum bonsai! There's bonsai info + pics! ~> https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en&tab=ww#hl=en&sclient=psy-ab&q=wax-leaf+ligustrum+bonsai&oq=wax-leaf+ligustrum+bonsai&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_l=hp.3...106269.106593.3.106920.2.2.0.0.0.0.144.244.0j2.2.0...0.0.3UBj3Aprv-s&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=dc2039daa8d02453&biw=1280&bih=685

^^ 2 feet is about as small as you can keep these and you need to be skilled for that....for a smaller bonsai, try a detailed online search

ADDED: a specialty garden shop may have some bonzai's you can buy that are already started and you just keep trimming them

Oh i don't want something already started, I want to craft it all the way through so it will be made entirely by me,
So what do you think about the pomegranate idea? Is maple a good bonsai tree? Can i root it like cannabis clones?

^^^^ Pomegranate is a fruit that will grow in the dry heat I get here in Texas and that's why I may end up planting it an an orhcard I may build here...I didn't know you can bonsai it! I looked it up on google....I still say around 2-3 feet at maturity for this one but it looks more suitable for you than a wax-leaf ligustrum

Here's a pomegranate bonzai video

I have several "lazy man's bonsai". I grow Desert Rose or Adeniums, and several types of Jade plant. They make a quick bonsai that only takes a year or two to look ancient. Will try to post some pics later...heading out on the boat! I would be glad to send you a small plant for a starter.

Hmm Desert rose looks pretty good.
I doubt you'd be able to send me a plant as I live in northern Europe, and who the hell sends plants by mail ?:D:D
I just got back from a walk and found an awesome bush that has small leaves that kinda look like a maple or a grape. (more like a maple)
I took a branch and cut off the bark and put it in water. I hope it roots..

Growing your own bonsai tree is an art of trimming the top growth alon g with the art of trimming the roots.

If you start your own from a freshly rooted tree cutting it will takes years.

I'm fine with that. And I will try to learn this fine art and it will bring a tear to my eye when I'm old and I give my grandchildren a bonsai tree. :)
