Upside-Down` Grow

I was wondering if it was possible to grow upside down. Im not trying this right now but i was wondering...if after the plant grew its first set of leaves, turn the pot upside down (lining the top with wire mesh so the soil doesnt fall out) and put the light on the ground pointing up at the turned over pot??........

Wat about sideways??

OR HOW BOUT THIS SHIT, LOL........Hang a SMALL ball of soil from a wire in the middle of a grow box. put equal amounts of lights all around the ball. will the plants leaves grow 360 around the ball??

that would be dope if you could find a way to grow any plant 360 around a center point of growth like a suspended ball of soil or rockwool!!

Ummm, im not totally sure but i think the roots use gravity to achieve the direction they need, which is usually down towards the water. Like i said, im not totally sure and i think theres even a word for it. Ill check my college text's for ya a little later.

They had a set up like that at my hydro store.. you have a light in the middle and the plants rotate around the light and get dipped in nuts every time around... they were using lettuce. can't see it working on pot.

i've always wanted to try this. sounds like a fun experiment. 360 degree potating gardens are the hot new rage. a little different because they are not always upside down but................

Omega Garden - The Omega Garden™

and YES these are for marijuana.

rage on thinkers, rage on !!!!!!!!

FUCK YEAH.. LMAO!!! those pictures of the tomatoe planters was fuckin cool!!! I might try that with pot..upside down might be a bit easier than complete 360. I'll keep you guys posted if I try this....Im doing low stress on only my third grow and having a blast with the results so who knows, my next plant may be growing down while the others are growing up...LOL, goddamit this is so funny to write about im rollin while I type..

my mom grew tomato plants upside down and they grew faster than in the ground. I dont see how it wouldnt work with pot...just as long as you have the proper amount of lighting and whatnot

ME and some friend were talking about doing this like a month ago. Should be really really easy to implement but you have to remember that heat rises so have a way of venting the heat away as usual.

I dont know if you are farmaliar with the "Omega Garden", but it's a cylinder that rotates around the light, and since half the plants life is spent fighting gravity, it has a very strong stem.

Believe it or not peeps it works and will produce higher volume, tighter bud, and the real natural aromatic flavour of the strain growing.

No wasted light gets them nice n tight. Hang em vertical within 4-6 inches from the plant.

This method has come back to me from a "great guru buddy", that invented it some 10 -12 years ago.Was popped with 1200 of the girls hanging, each days from yield and producing min. 1/4 lb. per.

There is a patent on my method so beware of copycat infringement.

the pot is hanging upside down with @1-2" hole in the center to drop the plant down through at baby stage, the dirt, (no lava or other rock) gets dropped over the plant and fed from the top also. Excellent for outdoors if climate permits. No pests or bugs or powdery dildo. The lights hang vertical within the cube of hanging plants within 6 in. to bulbs.

I think it would work. Weed is very adaptable and easy to grow. I imagine taking the stress off the plant would allow it to focus its energy into bud production rather than stem production. I was planning on trying a system actually with a horizontal air cooled light tube on light mover which has plants growing up normally and upside down above and below the lights. Currently i have the tube and am using it vertically with plants on racks on either side of the light so none is wasted. (which works amazingly by the way) Ive heard of tomatoes tripling production upside down...i think its about time to test it. I would do it hydro and train the roots to sit in the solution in the form of an inverted U. I know you can do this because i keep my plants out of the buckets sometimes so i can raise my water level in my buckets without worrying about starving their roots of air and killing them. I just let the roots sit in the solution. THe plant can be moved wherever.

i am in the process of starting some upside-down plants. i think your claims are out there though. no pest, bugs or mildew? how is growing upside-down going to prevent this? and the natural flavor of the bud? still not gettin' it. i honestly don't think growing this way will change these things.:confused:

yeah that sounds a little farfetched but i have heard there are benifits im not sure how exatcly or what but ive heard alot of good things about this too but i still dont understand how you could even hang them upside down im not very good with building things
