How long should a Lemon skunk go before cut down?

allrite so i know it may sound like a noob question but this strain is really confuzzling

the breeder say 7-8 weeks...BULLshit its sativa dominant so i dont buy that. but on the other hand ive heard they developed some fast growing sativas nowadays so im confused.

im usin CFLs so i usually add 1 more week on flowering time.
reason i ask this is not cause im impatient, its just that im goin on vacation about the time when its suppose to finish.
so the basic question is : is Lemon Skunk an early finisher for being sativa dominant?

any thoughts?

it should go as long as it takes....flowering times mean nothing............i did a few though and id say 10 weeks

yeah that was my guess. btw sometimes the breeders estimated flowering times actually seems right. not very often though

anywho. since you have grown a few, do you have any pointers? i cant seem to get it right with this one. and i dotn ahave any info on it...at all

Here are the listed phenos for LS

1.: short, compact, fastly blossoming, indica-dominant Phenotype
2.: long, stretched, fastly blossoming, sativa-dominant Phenotype
3.: long, compact, slowly blossoming, sativa-dominant Phenotype
4.: Very homogenous variety.

I have # 2 myself about a week from finish, and the entire plant is already getting a golden hue to it. I think it will finish at 8 weeks no problem. Mine smells like sweet tarts with a lite skunkness, not really lemon at all. As long as you did not get the slow flowering pheno, 8 weeks should be fine.

It is rare to find the first phonotype, below are GHS Lemon Skunk grown last year.

@ 60 days



@ 74 days



I think I harvested at 77 days.

77 days from 12/12 or from when pistils showed? i think my single LS plant is gonan give me about 10 grams tops. i aint got the lighting for a sativa

Very nice indeed del66666, what wattage lamp was used? how long to finish? final weight? how did you like the smoke?

The pics I posted were done under a 400W lamp and produced just over 7 oz.

thats a very nice weight mate......my cab is 1.2m x 1m x 1.4m hi cab with a 600 and 400 dual hps...........in coco......10 litre pot......the smoke was narcotic...kept falling asleep after a balloon.....not sure how long she took but i got 9 oz off her...:weed:

not sure how long ....i do 12-12 just to keep things simple and because i used to veg for 2-3 weeks but found i just got more leaves and not really any extra bud..........good for keeping the heat down in summer too.......shortest 12-12 from seed was around 9.5 weeks.......think that was hash bomb
