hi there i am currently growing exodus cheese i am at the 4th week of flowering just added vitalink buddy i dont know if its just me but it seems to have stopped growing i am wondering if it is because of my pot size
How old is your plant and what size pot do you have right now? Roots don't really grow much after the stretch phase but its still possible to get root bound.
In my experiences I've noticed in flower you get like "growth spurts" hitting strong the first few weeks of flower, then slows until it starts to swell up and pack on weight.
Man, I would NOT transplant/re-pot what-so-ever! There's probably a 90% or better chance you'll either put her in such a state of shock she'll probably turn Hermi on you, OR she'll simply die. Usually when those main roots get through the bottom holes you'll find that there's a tremendous (like 100:1) amount of smaller, supplemental roots that feed these main ones. I sometimes will do a "thinning" of massive, explosive roots because they do take over and utilize all that space for themselves which takes away that valuable access of getting the Oxygen to those roots. Almost every strain I have ever grown has flowered just like what you describe. In a strain that's, lets say, 8 weeks to flower 1-2 weeks the lady shoots and stretches to gain height and thus the best access to those bud sites for the pollen. She'll gain a large height increase (near 50% more), show a tendency towards more firmness in the buds as she packs more and more buds on. Then you'll notice her slow down about 1/2 way through and literally stop production. Then POW, she'll burst forth again packing more weight and Trichomes. Then the last few days she leaps one last time to try to gain one last attempt, a burst of growth for "more exposure". All this is normal as if the plant knows she isn't getting laid but tries harder just the same. Good luck to you; you'll do just fine. Don't mess with the roots unless you know exactly what to do. Life blood of the plant and you can really mess up...ive just looked at the bottom of the pot and there is alot of roots coming out of every hole i would like to re pot if possible but dont want to jepordise the plant
yes... and make it at least a 5 gallon bucket for now and next time before flowering transplant into large bucket first so that way you wont have any root growth and or moisture and or feeding issues...hi there i am currently growing exodus cheese i am at the 4th week of flowering just added vitalink buddy i dont know if its just me but it seems to have stopped growing i am wondering if it is because of my pot size
I gotta say this seems to be a very thoughtful response to the issue. I must admit I am not a botanist and am not in a position to debate the suggestion of not moving her. I must do some more research. But that will not help the OP now.Man, I would NOT transplant/re-pot what-so-ever! Well there is a huge part of my research done already if Dark says it's ok, you can prolly bet a sure thing that it is, dude really knows his shit!Man, I would NOT transplant/re-pot what-so-ever! i do it all the time. lol its perfectly fine. It's more like 99% chance it wont. (ive had 100% success on this but i cant say that it could never ever happen under any conditions so i cant say 100%)

To the OP: I may be wrong here, please do some further research. You do have some time to figure it out. Cannabis is very resilient.
There's no way that plant was root bound when flowering started, and I doubt it's even rootbound now. You already said the problem is with drainage, so that's your problem. If it was rootbound the plant would suck the water up real fast. drainage would not be an issue. To put it in a bigger pot will just compound your problem.Man i am in the same position except mine was root boud when i started flowerind and i didnt realize it. Yes i have it in a 5 gallon pot. I just watered and there was no drainage. It hasn't drained properly in week. She is 38days int flower. My idea would be to cut out the bottom of the pot. By a bigger pot and put dirt in the bottom. This way the plant aint gettin manhandled. Today may have been the last time it is watered. I have asked this question a few times over this week and no one has any ideas, just telling me wat a noob I am.

are you in a peat heavy medium? a surfacant can often help. a drop of dish soap in your water i believe.Man i am in the same position except mine was root boud when i started flowerind and i didnt realize it. I know it is rootbound. And it is rootbound in a 7 gallon container. So I cut the bottom off of that pot, bought a bigger one, put dirt in the bottom of that and set the plant on top of that. It shouldn't need nitrogen, she's flowering, she needs phosphorous. All nitogen does is turn the leaves green. I aint smokin the leaves.lol. Well she only has 20 more days. Hey it's my first grow. I am definitely learning. I got 2 seedlings I germinated "Orange Crush", One 11 days old that is close to topping and the other 2 days old. I have 2 grow rooms. My veg room is 250wh. You know I have to say I got no help from the RIU community in figuring out what was wrong. It's nitro, it's nitro. One thing is, you don't always have to fix your plant. The plant knows she close to the end so she is using all her resources. If u notice none of the leaves are curling, so it's not a burn or lack of.There's no way that plant was root bound when flowering started, and I doubt it's even rootbound now.
