So the hydro store sold me a 3500K 1000watt MH bulb! WTF GUYS? who the hell would ever want a MH with 3500k...

taking it back, just letting it cool right now, then getting a 7500K bulb... I thought my plants looked a little bit stretchy!

That doesn't make sense. 3500k??? Isn't that close to 2700k, which is soft white i.e the Hps side of things lol

Exactly! Thats why I'm pissed about it! It's pretty much useless to me as its basically an overpriced, less intense, less life span version of a HPS bulb. Not to mention that the packaging said nothing about it being 3500K so I have been vegging under it and my nodes are stretching now. I am going to try and take it back and just say I never used it. It's a philips 1000W MH btw

On a much happier note- My Sentinel CPPM-4 CO2 controller just arrived in the mail! :hump:

keep up the good work, get 1000w hps you will be ever grateful
I fully intend to, already got the 1000w MH burning. I would like to be able to burn two 1k HPS's and 2 400 MH's but I don't know if I can keep the temperature down low enough doing that.

I got my CO2 set at 1000ppm now so I can run my temperature a bit higher, but I think I may need a portable AC in the lung room if I'm going to add anymore light. Right now theres 1400watts, and the temperature is 82F steady. But it's pretty chilly outside also, cold enough to cause condensation on the windows, which is starting to bug me because alot of people walk by those windows. Just cleaned up my Dehumidifier so going to get that running, but I need to buy another extension cord or I'll blow a fuse

Not really going for GPW here, just trying to get this room as packed as I can.

I'll get some new pictures up soon, things are looking really really nice in there:mrgreen:

It took many long hours of playing around and rigging things up all funny in and around my room... And sweating like crazy cause it's like a fucking suana... But I now have 2000watts(metal halide) burning in my 6x4x7 space! All that with only a 175cfm extraction fan... wasnt easy That's 83 watts per square foot

Everything is so ghetto rigged it's not even funny, and I am just hoping nothing catches on fire! :fire:

I still need to up the fan size, my temperature is maxing out around 89F which is definately past what I want it to max out at... 89 is definately too high. But this will have to do until I can afford the new fan

There is one particular plant that looks like it is loving it though, possiby a more sativa influenced pheno so I will keep an eye on that plant.

My CO2 is fluctuating between 1000ppm and 1200ppm, which is perfect, and the only reason I'm willing to run my temperature up to 89F

Also I think these girls can handle the heat, they are supposed to be 90% sativa afterall, and 89F aint nothing where they are from

I'll probably need to lower my feed ppm because they will be sweating a bit more water with this heat.

I also managed to rig up my dehumidifier in such a way that my RH is staying below 60%. It seems to be holding steady at 55%, and I'm happy with that for now. Hopefully it will drop even further with the arrival of a larger fan

So tommorrow during lights off I am FINALLY switching to the timers to 12/12! This is long overdue... thankfully I am armed with Hombolts Bush Master just incase things get too out of hand

Today being the last day of Veg would be... 66 days of veg! that's 9 and a half weeks of veg... holy crap eh?
Hopefully they don't cook in the next couple weeks... right now I'm really pushing it, my propane tank is nearly empty and if it runs out before lights off... bad things will happen

I'm treating these plants like they are true sativas, hopefully this environment will bring the best out of their genetics.

It's time to see what these girls can do :blsmoke:

This should give you guys an idea of what they are looking like. Just took these pictures. In a couple more hours all of these plants will be going into their first 12 hour night
The Big Bomb are the 4 larger seedlings, and the Kish are the 3 smallest
I am feeding all the plants the same nutrients at 900ppm. The Kali Mist don't seem to want more nutrients and the smaller more indica plants don't seem to mind the higher ppm in fact the Big Bomb could use a bit more nutrient.

As you can see the 7 Kali Mist plants are bohemoth in comparrison to the other 7 plants lol
The other 7 are also not sexed yet, I am hoping to only have 3 or 4 females from those plants

So to summarize what the Kali Mist are:
7 66 day(9 and a half week) vegged, double topped for 4 colas, lollipopped in 6 gallons of 50/50 coco/perlite, fed with H&G nutrients.

And they are going into 12/12 now

Wow looks pretty awesome. It is going to be fun to watch these flower!
Thanks
Hopefully it will be fun. I'm a little scared myself worrying that they will outgrow this tight little space they are in. The canopy is extremely dense, I need to get some more fans moving air around or it's gunna get ugly

I'm wondering if any Canadian growers could let me know if there are any places to aquire clones? In 6 months I may be looking to get some clones but as far as I can tell there is no place around to do that. I suppose clone swapping with trustworthy growers is the only option? Amazing that the US is ahead of us on this... I thought WE were supposed to be the pot loving nation... seems California is way ahead of us. I'd really like to get some of the clone-only Blue Dream that everyone is raving about, but it sounds like that may be impossible

I suppose I should also note that the watering I did tonight had 1ml of Bush Master per 2.5 gallons. If you know the normal recommended doses for Bush Master you'll know that is a small fraction of what is normally used. But in my reading on Bush Master, I have found that it is soooo effective and also usually causes extreme stress on the plants. I think even people using it at lower doses are in fact overdosing it. So I'm trying it out but keeping the dose very minimal. Hopefully it will have enough of an effect that I don't need to resort to using the larger doses that are required to cause the "halt" to stretch. I don't see the reason in letting the plant stretch for a week then suddenly giving it an asskicking with the BM to stop the stretch... better to simply minimize the stretch over the entire "stretch period". We'll see how that goes

Yo Dilly..

I know it is off-topic but let me know what strain you decide to go with outdoors once all this snow starts to melt :D

All this snow? haha man it's like summer time down here! you actually got snow up there? thats reassuring I thought global warming was taking a tailspin or something

I'm thinking Texada Skunk, DizzleFrost recommended it to me, but I'll do some more research first before I buy any seeds. Sounds like it would be a hearty strain, mold resistant and would finish flowering before the bad weather comes

I'm so stoned, also so use to people starting bad ass grow threads like this one but for some reason they never finish, in fact they abruptly, drastically, mysteriously drop off the face of the earth never to be heard of again and its like getting blue balled.

Anyhow i was presently surprised when i finally gander at the date and realized this thread is current! ordered two big bomb pic n mix today and I was blinded by the fact i was paying to close of attention to the posts and not the date... whew, thanks for not being that guy, even though you still have potential to end up one of those guys seeing how you're not done yet, lol:lol:
