in regards to the lighter coloured leaf, i dont think it matters too much as long as the plant is healthy and shits on the other one that only got hydro nutes for taste. Superthrive could make the plant uptake more/less nitrogen or something happensI'm still on the fence regarding Superthrive. TX A&M professionals that really know this stuff and another guru who retired as Texas Forest Service employee say it IS snake oil. I only use it cause I have it on the shelf and it's quite old.
Curious, why would you want a lighter green colored leaf?
UB
Strange that you say that. I know a guy who (five+ years ago) added some superthrive to his res going to his newly rooted clones. He was on the higher side of the dosage, but they all turned yellow, like really really yellow. They did pull through, but that's an interesting effect, for lack of a better term. I'd like to know just what causes this.in regards to the lighter coloured leaf, i dont think it matters too much as long as the plant is healthy and shits on the other one that only got hydro nutes for taste. there is defiantly something with the lighter coloured leaf with superthrive that i've never seen others mention.
I've had good success in trials where i take two clones and the one dipped in superthrive for 20 minutes shows roots a day earlier on average, i just want to see a proper more clinical trial which involes more control of the variables.
Buy Mel Frank's book - "MJ Insiders Growers Guide" and read up on indoor plant culture.Uncle Ben,
Can you help me please?
I'm growing in a flood and drain system with expanded clay
I have D.G. Grow 7-9-5 Bloom 3-12-6 Pro Text and Mag-Pro 2-15-4
I see you recommend 9-3-6. Did I buy the wrong shit? On DG site no info on 9-3-6 & recirc systems. Would you use the same as the 7-9-5?
Do I even need the Bloom 3-12-6?
I used to grow in the 80's when I live in Cali.
A guy from Washington had a small ad in HTs for a 3 part nutrient he made himself.
That's all I ever used and it worked great.
I used seeds from SSSC. Will W. NL #5 & SK#1
I got back into it about 3 1/2 years ago. It's bad enough trying to find decent seeds let alone sort through all the nutrients their trying to sell me at the Hydro store.
I have been going to different forums trying to sort this nutrient mess out and I ran across you. (Thank God) I see you got banned from another forum. . Steal your shit, Huh?
They had a guy on that site with 17,000 posts and said he had never grown anything but, if he did, he wouldn't use such & such. Wonder how old he is?
I'm a disabled Vet. $ is tight. My right hand & arm are disabled. I don't post, had to get my old lady to type this.
I think I live close to you. Weather was horrible last year. Farmers took a beating.
I'm no kid, 55 years old. I know when to listen. Tell me what to do.
Thanks,
Texas Jack
the 3-1-2 ratio is for retards like uncle ben who believe mel frank has the answer.
"Sugar Peak", eh? Gawd these companies crack me up.i love my 3-1-5 ratio for veg from my Sugar peak veg formula from earth juice and its doing reall well for my lady
Formula is crafted for energetic stem and leaf growth for foliage plants and the vegetative stage of flowering and fruiting plants.
This sugarcane molasses based 1-Part Nutrient Line will out perform the most complex multi-bottle formulas..
might have to check that out if in the future niceBut it doesn't got electrolytes! It is a 3-1-5. http://www.hydro-organics.com/home/index.php?productID=675
Gotta git me some of dat joy juice. http://www.hydro-organics.com/home/index.php?categoryID=566
Still frustrating for a real horticulturist - I can't find an analysis just the usual hype -
If your soil has any compost or peat in it, you're wasting your money. Don't get me wrong, they'll be no side effects from using it other than lightening up your wallet.might have to check that out if in the future nice
i use this currently for my humic and fulvic
hendrix HuMagic is a rich, dark, natural humate, mined from a sole organic deposit of carbon-rich humate from both vegetative & marine compounds. This sole mine produces one of the finest humates on the market, rich in active, available humic and fulvic acids, organic carbon & natural trace elements. Used regularly HuMagic decreases your need for fertilizers as it enhances your soil's beneficial biology and ability to uptake nutrients.
Ididnt have enuf A.N. sensi g&b a&b to make the grow.I was going to have to reup on nutrients anyway. So by listening to UB's preachings of "don't waste your money" you threw out some perfectly good products you're gonna re-buy the generic version of?
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
