I buy myself almost nothing special during the year, and Christmas is one of the few times I even think to do so.

I am a big fan of self-gifting. I don't like asking people to buy me the things I want, because they are always expensive and I don't want to put that on someone else.

Also, if I DO ask, I don't expect to get them... but I STILL have to wait til after Christmas to buy 'em for myself? Fuck all that noise. Nowadays I just buy myself the big gifts i want and tell people piddly shit that I could take or leave.

That being said... this year, I am gifting myself: a personal handheld recording studio unit, and a Nook Color.
