12-1 lighting schedule, has anyone actually tried this?

Huh? Not sure what the question is. You either do a garden from start to finish if you have only one area or have a veg and flowering garden if you're doing two separate growing areas.

I have two rooms. In one I clone and veg, in the other I flower. There is not room for mothers. If my plants in flower are taking 9 weeks, and my plants in veg are taking 4. What the hell do I do with the other 5 weeks in veg? I got 5 weeks here I don't know what to do with. Help me out.
 
LOL you stagger your planting. You should of waited 5 weeks before you planted, or do multiple generations in your flowering room.
 
Why don't you just keep a mother in your veg room and take cuttings every two weeks. Let the cuttings veg for about 3-4 weeks then pop them in the flower room. You don't need all of your flowering plants to be at the exact same stage.

UB I have 2 rooms, not large enough for mothers. If I flower in 1 room and veg in another, then I veg 4 weeks and flower 9 weeks don't I sooner or later over run the flower room.

I guess you do. Keep your moms in one area and your veg - flower in another.

Make the weeks even numbers. Clone box- 2 weeks. cut veg room in half- 2weeks (stage1) 2weeks(stage2). Flower room harvest every 2 weeks by flowering for 10 weeks(5 sections) or 8 weeks( 4 sections or quarters). Cant have uneven numbers it wont work., snew snew.

That's been suggested multiple times, he seems to think that he cannot fit a mom in his veg room. Which leads me to believe it's a small veg room. However, there is a solution, bonsai moms!

I highly, HIGHLY, recommend these.
 
I clone from a vegging plant, twice, then it goes in the bud room. Clone from the top down keeps it short enough for the veg room, and after two cloning it has lots of branching.
My clones are ready for the budroom at four weeks (sativa) and 5-1/2 weeks (indica).
Budding takes 56 days (sativa) and 45 days (indica). It varies a few days either way, depending on circumstance.

This does not work out evenly. Sometimes I clone and toss the mother as too large, this happens regular. It hurt to throw away good plants, but I got used to it and have steady clones now.
Trying to save all my plants and eliminate all waste led to cloning on my kitchen table and vegging in the rec room. NO more, it is just a plant and I use them without mercy now, put out clones and die sucker!
 
I just wanted to update my Auto lemon Haze plants that have been running on 12-1. Again these auto's I was most worrieed about on the 12-1 schedule but as stated previous have grow excellent. The amount of bud sites on these plants is amazing, the budding itself is amazing on this schedule... they started budding last week and well the pictures I post say 1000 words.

Edit: The third pic looks pretty stretched out to me man, but that's prolly the auto genetics. I'm not the biggest fan of ruderalis, but to each their own.

Do you have a 18-6 or whatever you would normally use for autos going side by side to compare?
 
1 of the auto's seemed to take a stretch, but the other 3 didnt... not sure why the 1 did. No not running nay 18-6, I ran the same strain last go all 18/6. I changed my entire veg room to 12-1... I have 1 flood & drain with 6 plants in it, and another 5 auto Lemon haze & 5 5 other strains in pots. The tall flowering auto's will actually be moved into another room when I clear it up of the other 6 plants that are finishing up flowering.
 
i read this whole thread and several of the others, no comments till the end.... you'd think with all the dope people smoke around here people would be less testy ;)

The point not being discussed around here is the amount of photons required during the daylight period to produce the best vigor, health, bulk, and finally production. I believe I have mastered that. It's all about The Balance, The Balance being your ability as a gardener to balance temps, light, water and other cultural factors. You want the color of your leaves to just approach being lime green but still have a green richness to them. The more foliage bulk you have, the more root system bulk (the plant's foundation) and the better the production.

The gimmicks of a 12/1 DO NOT address anything other than a whim, certainly not botany. If you want to embrace an idealogy, fine, but be honest and say so. Electricity consumption should not be an issue. If it is, you're in the wrong biz.

If your plants are green and healthy looking, then you've done good. If they're straggly and yellow, something's wrong.

well all is complete now, and willbe using this from now on and advising others to use it.
alld ried now and final weight was 53 1/1 oz so did beat my expectations but not by much, plus saved on electricity too.
so much for mr fucking botanical eh!
also uncle ben for every one its not a "biz" some people grow for them selves not commercially.
i tried it, it worked any thing else to add?
