Tied down the top last night and it had already grown sideways and back up by the morning, i did a more aggressive tie down like you said before i left for schoolBtw. Young plants are very bendy, you can probably tie it down almost to the ground without worry of snapping it. Just be gentle
The in room humidifier is a good idea. Here is something else you can try and it gives you a triple bonus. Get some Boston Ferns and put them in the room. They have one of the highest transpiration rates of all houseplants. Also the Areca Palm is a tremendous houseplant; transpiring up to one quart of water into the air a day. These plants also remove large quantities of toxins from the air. The Boston Fern is one of the best and is especially good at removing formaldehyde. They also look good and give the room a good vibe. Not saying the mj will benefit from the vibe but it can't hurt.
The reason I mentioned turning off some of the lights is to try to get down the heat. I know cfl's don't put off as much heat as mh/hps lamps but they put off some heat and in veg. I think you can get away with a little less light. By the way, what are your room temps outside the grow box? Are you exhausting the hot air outside the room? Run your exhaust at 100% first to see if that will do the trick. Good luck.
The room the box is in is 72 degrees and when i ran the exhaust fan at 100% power the box temps dropped down to 77. i have not received the humidifier in the mail yet but when i do it should help with the humidity. i am leaving all of the lights on because i figure with the exhaust fan on a higher setting, lowering the temp of the box it could not hurt. thanks for the advice on the house plants if the humidifier does not work i will look into them

thank you this link was helpfulHeres a good thread about training helped me alot: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=104379&highlight=Overview+Cannabis+Training
At the moment i am only tying down the sour diesel to allow the white widow to catch up to its growth in height, and the fact that it now has 5 tops to grow up to the top after a week of tie down is just a bonus. the screen will help fill out the cabinet when they get tall enough and prevent them from getting too tall but it is not my only means of producing more tops at this stage of growth. i will post some photos tonight of the new growth, i am in a POLS class or i would take some nowHey bongholyeo, a question I forgot to ask earlier, how do you plan on ScrOGing if your tying down? Wouldn't you be better off just fim/topping, for it to reach and stretch to the screen? I've never tried tying down before, but I assumed it keeps alot of the leaves near the base, which is a waste if your going to canopy it in a screen?
Took out the divider and about to post more pics of where the plant is at let me know when you think i should throw them into flowerDon't try to use that screen as a scrog, instead use your eighty hooks to LST (like you've started doing)
The screen is way too high up and too close to your lights. But it'll make a nice preventative secondary training tool once they flower up that high. I'd flower WAY before they get up there though.
Also, divider in the soil? Get rid of that, let em mingle, they'll have more room overall. Two plants in a pot isin't a good idea to start with, but the divider is a worse idea.
edit: forgot to say, LOVE the cab! very nicely done sir.
edit2: I'd flower as soon as 2/3 of the soil is covered with leaf mass, they'll take up the rest during stretch.
