i gave up reading grow books 15 years ago .. learn from your own observations and experiences, any fool can read and quote from a grow book
i have disproved many grow book myths in my garden, in time when you have experiences, you will not need a grow manual to grow, like a good chief doesn't need a cookery book to cook lol
try not to get confused with fact and opinions

might work with some strains and be beneficial with perhaps some sativa´s but for the most part i´d think this would be detrimental.

The book is called the bible for a reason and Ive found verry little in that book to be contadictive..(sometimes it takes someone who knows to point things out)

you seem to want some kind of contest, the fact you are posting from grow books tells me you are a noob ,
any grower that has been growing for as long as you seem to be claiming should of put the grow manual's down by now, you don't need other peoples opinions to grow, form you own
you stated topping a plant would delay flowering that is simply not true by my experience

I am sorry for starting a family feud here although i can't say it has not been a fun read . I found the info on page 61 . I will not top the plant right before switching cycle which i am doing today . I will instead tie it down and grow it sideways . by the time i am done most of them will end up getting tied over anyway . I am starting to realise this growing is much like the hunting i do . while there is things you can do to be very productive . There are no rules and the animals hold cards of their own . I am sure what ever each of you do that it obviously works for you that, it may not be the only way to do it . The only clear thing is that i am on the bottom of a very large hill to climb when it comes to growing knowledge . I think I am doing what i can to learn ie. borrowing books, joining online forums, talking with local pros . and shop owners . I don't think I did anything wrong by asking . Thanks for the help guys .
Maybe this will be EZer for people to understand if all research and real long time grower knowledge suggest the probability of something being high,,DONT DO IT!
