well after thinking long and hard i finally decided to go for it and build a copy of daveg1i's grow box.. got the top done. atleast the lights mounted and fan installed going to build the filter box tommarow. my main concern is air movement in and out of the box do you guys think that 2 5 in pc fans will do the job?

Looks good. As for the fans, from what I've seen done, this should be fine. Those cfl's don't get to hot. How many plants you plan on having?

Think you would be able to fit some Y splitters in those sockets? Would there be enough room?

you should buy some y adapters so you can screw 2 bulbs for one socket. If you put more lights in be prepared to raise the top of the box at some point, I have the same setup with 12 23 watters and at week 6 I'm having to raise it. I'm buying some plexiglass today to help control heat that will be mounted under the lights. It gets hot about 12 inches from the lights despite hang a 250cfm fan for exhaust.

well up and goin! i know it has been a long time but i finally got it up and running. the pics of them at there largest was taken this morning. i had started to see some yellowing in 2 of them on some lower leaves but then remembered that the only source nutes they have had since day one was the 6 to one mix of worm casings to the promix im using so im gessing now at this age they are a lil nute starve. So i went out and picked up some fish emulsion to get me buy till the fox farms triple threat comes in.

a day late but heres what they look like now. it seams like they are doing better. but i did notices that they are showing roots at the very base of the cup so i will be doing a transplant to they final sized pot this Thursday. would it be ok to give them super thrive for the watering in there new pots?

hey so are you doing a CFL grow? i'm assuming you're not switching to any HID lighting since the enclosure would toast them... have you put them in the setup box yet?

well nothing to really report things seam to be going good so far. the only thing i was having a problem with was heat and i cured that with an extra fan now temp stays at a steady 73.. i got my supply's for the transplant and will be doing this tonight for sure. then hopefully if they do not suffer much shock ill start the 12/12 on monday.
