You wanna move that cfl up a lil first off. Seedlings are very lumen sensitive and your leaves look curled (not sure though it's a small pic.) How often are you watering that cube and how much and what type of water?

my seedlings get blasted with T-5 right outa the shell, so i dotn think its that. Did you presoak your rockwool cubes before use..i think you gotta precharge em

Your t5s are only a couple inches away from your seedlings? -_-

You just need to preflush your cubes, don't actually soak them. Soaking will f@#$ up the consistency and turn your cube into a spongey mess.

yeah, about 2" away from the tops

and yes rockwool should be soaked for 24 hours in conditioner...i think its sposta be around 5.5 pH

WOW I HAVE NEVER DONE THAT

Never had a single problem with sprouting/seedlings. I don't have leaf curling, burning, leaning, stretching, etc. All I do is run a small amount of water through the cubes til they are damp, then plant and everything works great with topfeed at that point.

No nutes just reg water ph around 5.8

I let the cube get nice and wet then dont wet it again till its just about dry

When i grow in soil i put cfl`s at the same height never had a problem , thats what i get for thinking when it came to light height that it did not matter if soil or hydro lol wont do that again

You said small pic ? when i click on it it fills my screen up to this size

Yes i presoaked the cube with ph water around 5.8

I let it soak for about 30 mins then i let it set over night before i put my sprout in it

No I'd have to say soil seedlings can get the same light amount as hydro.. But for some reason your seedling looks burnt/curled. I guess it's my computer, but that picture that fills up 75% of my screen still only has like 5% of it the seedling part that is visible and that's a little blurry.

I'd rather have a seedling stretch a little bit then stress out because of too much light, but here is probably why: Different strains (and phenotypes) have different stress levels, some can take that amount of light and others can't.

You watering like once or twice a day? You should see a single root come out of the bottom soon.

This is a little discouraging lol

I do great with soil grows , and my first seedling to practice hydro on is fucked up lol , ugh

once a day

What i do is i pour my ph water into a little saucer plate and let the cube sit in it and soak it up from from the bottom

once its nice and wet again i take it out and put it under my light

I moved the light a little higher up so hopefully it it is being caused by the light it will stop and im hoping to see new green growth

I will post a better pic for you later , i got to start my daughters b day party ,

Thanks for helping me with this my man

Yeah it's no problem..

I like to top feed my seedling cubes, you don't want to over water rockwool. Just make sure that cube is soaking, you want it damp enough though.. I guess it's hard to explain online.. Glad I had the privilege of learning in person.

Have you dealt with that strain before or are you trying a new one?

Do you see a root yet?

How long has the seedling been under the light?

Yeah I just got the word from the big man himself that DWC is actually just the fanciest form of passive hydroponics, meaning it does fit the same category as coco.

Its just a shitty bagseed , i have good seeds but did not want to take the chance of fucking up my good seeds , good thing to lmao

And no , no visible roots showing

And im not exactly sure how long its been under the light

I got a better pic for you my man , well it seems better to me anyway lol

Iv never grown in coco either , iv always been a soil man

But im wanting to try out hydro , and also try some organic instead of soil that has nutes already in it ,

I ordered some maxibloom and im gonna give the lucas formula a go lol

Just reg water with ph around 5.8

But not 100% sure on the .8 ,

My ph tester is not digital , its color coded
Try some straight distilled water.. contaminants and rockwool don't really mix. Seedlings have no problem dealing with ph 7 however.. since they have no nutes to take up.

You never heard to pre soak your rockwool in 5.5 PH water???? Seriously?
Thats one of the first thing you should do with your rock wool is soak it in PH 5.5 water ( some say 1 hour some say 24 hours) then you take it and shake it like some dice to remove the water. I hate rockwool you can easily over water your seedling. I ditched rockwool and now only use rapid rooter plugs.

DWC isnt any form of passive hydroponics. Passive hydroponics are ( Hempy, Coco, Hand feeding etc)

I dont know whats wrong it may be just shitty genetics ( you said it was bag seed) its to young to have any deficiencies when my show the 2nd set of leaves I hit them with 1/4 strength nutes.
