The very best hydro rig!

So now that I got your attention how about telling me your thoughts on which is best and why. I'm trying to decide on a rig. Planning on using some bubbleponics for moms. But I have two tanks I want to use for a main set up.

So time to brag your asses of about your set up!

Help me commit to a technique and go with it.

I just finished building this... I'd have to say it's the best for your buck. Plus if you move the resivour to the bottom it fits in a smaller space. I made a 40x30 version that is like 4 feet high.

This is my simple flood and drain setup that cost around $55 for everything (pumps, tubs, wood, airstones, tubing, cardboard, etc) except the timer which I already had.



It has a 26" x 42" footprint and under a 600watt bulb, 18-21 ounces is standard.

I started my hydro in this setup. The veg system he uses works great, but with the flower system roots are over watered and causes alot of prob. (It does work good, but it can be better)
separate the plants using buckets and then you will see alot better growth, with fewer prob.

Roots would only be over-watered with a sprayer system if you spray them too often. I don't recommend running a sprayer constantly... that will over-water.

A good percentage of my roots remain hanging in air throughout the entire grow, borrowing from aero concepts... But when they make their way down to the oxygenated solution bath, my system borrows from dwc concepts.

Id love a detailed start to finish on your grow if you have it or the time to. Whatever details you can give me. If that's just 2 plants it could be the one. If nothing else can I get the times from start to finish. Clones or beans? Total Light wattage, Co2. Basically how do I do that? +rep

I'll clarify my purpose in creating this thread.

Im building my medical grow. I have most materials for any setup. What I'm asking from you is show off your rig and techniques in enough detail so that I can compare them to one another. Then I will choose the very best technique and rig for my grow. If I pick your rig you'll be crowned King of Hydro! Winner gets a solid gold crown and huge trophy stuffed full of $100 bills.

How can I decide if you're rig is best for grow, let alone crown you King if I have no list of components, how it works, is it making sense?

I give an outline:
This is my grow. These are room dimensions. I have x# of these lights. X# of x strain plants from clones/seed. Vegged x days. Flowered x days. Yielded X pounds/kilos of x quality bud.

What? Setting the bar too high with lbs/kilos? Ok if you need to you can use grams/ounces but there is a crown to be won!

Did you buy the trophy full of $100's? No?

No, that's one of my models, Gracy. I'm a photographer, not a model. And a guy... sorry. Lol.

I average over a pound with non-OG Kush. Just under a pound with OG Kush. That there Diablo in the pictures I harvested just under 15 dry ounces.

I could get more with a big budding strain, but I'd rather have a few ounces less of OGK.

Now that's the yields I'm after. I posted in another thread about doing a quick and ez bubble bucket grow while I Fab. My main system. Just a financial jump apart to fund my medi-grow. I received a response that it would yield just fine. So I asked the definition of just fine, for my 12 plants in bubble buckets in 8x4 area (my flower garden is 8x8 so I would use a moveable wall to divide it) under 3 400w HPS. Providing 1200w total. That's 100w per plant plus cfls to cover side light and light inside the canopy to ensure the girls get an even tan. No co2. Unfortunately that's impossible on current budget. So assuming all grows well and the girls die happy what would be a ballpark yield? I almost cried at his response. Brace yourself. He said I'd have no prob yielding 8oz! Not the 8oz per girl your get. Fucking 8oz total! I was fucking floored! I started thinking WTF are these idiots doing shit for? I've spent years studying the shit to prepare for the day that I can finally set up indoors. Not only can I out grow that outside in an area with only 2months of sun. But even with my scavenged low rent set up (see my journal) but I could buy it by the gram, choosing from 20 different strains for 10x less $.

Thank god you volunteered your knowledge. I was ready to hang myself from a light in my waste of fucking $ grow room lol. I knew there couldn't be this many people raving about indoor hydro for half a measly pound. At that rate it would take three harvests just to give me my possession limit of 24oz.

Maybe that guy was pulling your leg? Or maybe he did mean 8 zips per plant? I can't see how anyone in their right mind would think you'd get only 8 zips total from 12 plants under 1200w.
