I lived two years in the US and it is truly an awesome country
the problem is that there are way too many stupid people
and its true you take a lot from the authorities. the cops in the US are crazy man. and you still don't know what happened to kennedy
i bet if somebody assasinated obama but was from other country you would break hell loose.

and about the stupid people comment.....your gonna find stupid people any where in the world you go.....i dont think america is ranked #1 in IQ avg...we was a short while back..but i think it china or japan thats at the top...not sure on that tho...but i do know america is up in the top somewhere for world wide avg IQ....

that last bit isnt true. our public school system is terrible. were like 30th in the world i think. Bush put in 'no child left behind' which basically dumbed everything down so the stupid kids can also graduate. it looked good to him because there were more kids graduating lol

yeah the education in this country went to shit pretty quick, within 20 years or so. our public primary/high schools may suck but we still have some awsome institutions of higher learning, particularly in my neck of the woods. i have more than 10 colleges/universities in my city alone, most of them extremely reputable. standardized testing has really eroded the public education, though. they only teach to get kids to offer up canned answers and color in the correct bubble. critical thinking and original problem solving went out the window.

i take into account the other countries. sure many other developed countries have better education, but the amount of colleges and studying options in the US is amazing
in my country colleges only consider your gpa and sat. no background information or skills.

yeah they pretty much teach you the facts. theres almost nothing to do with critical thought and all that jazz

thats a pretty sweet site. yes i realize we are not the worst. there are a lot worse countries education-wise. but for the size of our economy and with the ideals we have, i think it should be MUCH better here. and i was primarily talking about public schools up until high school. colleges are a whole 'nother ball game.
