Pa Growers

Yeah it's been nothing but rain here the past week or so. Hopefully it will be clearing up later into the week.

I put mine out 2nd week of June also and they are just as big, if not bigger, than the plants I put out last year 2nd week of May. They are in the exact same spots, but with significantly bigger holes. Also upgraded my veg area, so they were much bigger when I put them out.

I'm a little disappointed the hash plant still hasn't really started flowering hard yet. I chose heavy indicas that I hoped would flower early and be finished last week of Sept, first week Oct at the latest. Only one to start flowering early was the Kannabia Special.

My plants always start flowering around the 10th-15th of August. Kind of a bummer to wait so long not to mention the struggle with an inevitably wet autumn, but the late finish brings out some great colors.
This year I put all of mine out in may and I do see and improvement in node spacing. Not bigger plants just more bud sites. I'm gonna continue trying to get mine out by mid to late may, anything sooner than that and I feel the weather is too unpredictable in our region.

Well I got them out 2nd week of May last year and they did great. Got them out the 2nd week of June this year, but I vegged them longer inside, so I really only lost 2 weeks of actually grow time. I picked up a 4 bulb 2' T5 light in the offseason, so I was able to put much stronger plants out this year. It was a little pricey, but I feel it was a good investment and can be used for a variety of different projects in the future. I was surprised how bright the thing is and how well it light actually penetrates. Not like MH of course, but more than you would expect. They outgrew a 16oz party cup long before I ran out of light so I'm happy with it. Going to try quart containers next time and see how they do.

Hey guys a little late to posting but here are some shots of my pa grow I have some Easy Sativa from femaleseeds and some Kalashnikovas from Greenhouse seeds. My Easy sativas are all well into flowering and I hope to be done with them the first or second week of September. My Kalashnikovas are taking a little longer they are just starting to flower. So a quick question and I know it is random but when do they start flying here in PA or does anyeasy sativa.JPG009.jpg008.jpg010.jpg006.jpg011.jpg005.jpg004.jpg007.jpgd or does anyone really know.

First of all, nice looking plants. 2nd. If your talking about flying patrols, not quite sure. I have seen a few here and there lately, but, the gas exploration people use them and the copter builder in Owego, NY test fly too, so it's hard to tell. I would not worry alot about a small scale grow though.

I have a friend who's uncle used to take spotters up in his little plane looking for crops. That same friend taught me how to grow! These are pics I took today of a few from my 1st grow. I'm in suburbia so I'm not too worried about choppers/planes, just have a few plants too. I still have alot to learn but I think they are doing very well. I tried different things with different plants and kept a journal to compare the final results. Just bagseed but I cant for them to finish! Growing=Happiness

They usually run the choppers from late aug - early sept til maid october. U can actually try a few google searches and find out how they operate more or less. For instance the National guard from Fort Indiantown Gap run MJ spotting runs every day for about a month and a half, always in a different spot each day. Theres even info listing #of plants seized for year categorized by county.
Bottom line tho, if youve prepared yourself correctly u have very little to worry about

I've been contemplating it as well. Even though I've been known to question the point of growing autos inside, I still have a Pandora bean left that I might make the test subject. It was a very good auto IMO and with the excellent branching and modest odor of the last 2 it might make a good candidate during the "offseason." Having the light running in the fall/winter months would provide so cheap warmth to my mycology projects as well. Last year I was running a space heater on its lowest setting. I'd probably just keep the 6500K bulbs in and throw a few CFLs in later on for good measure.

I think you are right. I find it highly unlikely that they would do random flyovers in most parts of the state. I'm pretty sure someone would have to report it or they would need to have reasonable suspicion first. Even if they did, I think it would be difficult to spot anything less that 10-15 plants in most cases. Unless they were like in the middle of an uncultivated corn field or something else that is blatantly obvious.

Another good reason to keep it under 10 plants, at least in one location. I'm not sure if you guys are aware of this but the cultivation of 10 or more plants in our great commonwealth carries a mandatory minimum 1 year sentence, although possibility of probation for first offense. Not really sure how that works, but sure as hell don't want to find out. I'm assuming if you're a "good guy" the DA can drop the cultivation charge and charge you with something else to avoid the mandatory minimum.

Pennsylvania Marijuana Penalties

Not out to try to scare anyone, but I think we should all be aware of the potential consequences of our hobby before we even consider putting a seed in the ground. I think a good majority of the individuals who use this board live in states/countries where the laws concerning growing, posessing, and selling cannabis aren't as harsh, so it's easy to forget that this can really jam us up in the unfortunate event that we are caught. Hopefully at some point our government realizes that these laws are causing more harm to our society than the behaviors they were meant to prevent.

So what stains is everyone in PA growing? How are they doing? Is anything doing exceptionally well? For me, frisian dew from Dutch passion is doing incredible! In a week or 2 it should be ready to chop

I will try to post pics eventually. Not sure how to with my iPhone yet. I have a couple phenos. One green and 1 that looks like a wonderful purple. I will definitely post yeild numbers after everything is dry but since this is my first real grow, it would be a joke for me to estimate yeild. I know I will be growing this strain next year for sure!

6 plants, 6 strain.

Magus Motavation
Dinafem California Hashplant
Kannabia Special
Kannabia Mataro Blue
Barney's Blue Cheese
Sagarmatha Northern Lights #9

Kannabia Special is the farthest along. Should be ready in a few weeks actually. Motavation isn't far behing and she's by far my nicest specimen so far. Hashplant still doesn't even really seem to want to flower hard for some reason. I don't know what the deal is.

The other 3 I didn't even put out to late July and the only one that's flowering hard is Mataro Blue. Sort of smells like blueberries a little. :)

So, looks like most of them are going to go well into October...

Pics coming soon...
