Soil Sucks

Lol, seriously? Are we now arguing about something different... I find this quite funny.

And when I said "pro" I didn't mean some kid who's been on some board for a year and that has a following, our standards for 'pro' are different, obviously. What I meant by pro is someone who has been doing it long enough to have extensive experience with various grow methods. Not some dude that is rep beyond repute, lmao....

I bet you people who are arguing about your hydro never even tried organic growing. I grew in rockwool from 2000-2008. Never going back.

yeah I'd also be willing to bet that medi-mary has never tried epic potent outdoor bud... it's a rarity... and remember the best shit never leaves the grower ;)

Well I have. I live in cali and my close friends have private outdoor grows, not the mass produced comercial shit. its good I just like really good grown hydro better

still man, kinda doubt you've tried the true epic stuff man... its not just any strain grown outdoors dank, it's specific strains that shine through... and there's no guarantee that just because you live in cali that you're getting the best of the best outdoor..just sayin.

I grew this shit last year outdoors..

Iv had some amazing outdoor buds, but where I live its always windy in Oct.. so unless you like herb encrusted with dirt... I will pass. obviously since there is 50 states each state is going to have variables. Bottom line go into a dispensary and they will almost always pay more for indoor cause its a better quality product.

You could build a hoop house or greenhouse to shelter the plants from the wind...

so what do you guys think, do you all think growing in a greenhouse / hoop house is considered indoor or outdoor?

To me its indoor.

My opinion is that potency is great and all that, I mean it is cost effective....great bang for the buck and so most of us seek that when we buy or grow
However, honestly, factors such as taste and smoothness of the smoke, how the high effects YOU.
Just saying that every time I pick up the pipe I am not attempting to see how high I can get just like every time I pick up a beer I am not attemting to get puky drunk.
based on this criterion, I'll take weed grown in dirt

Working in and smelling soil makes me feel closer to my plants. They recognize the connection and reward me with awesome dank .
You can say hydro is better because it has more trichs, grows faster, grows bigger, ect.
But you dont get the same deep spiritual connection with your bucket of poisened water that I get from the soil of the earth

soil is for people hew cant hack it at hydro ,let the controverse begin

It doesn't automatically make it more potent. You gotta know what you're doing. I smoke to get high, if I just wanted flavor I would smoke that hookah bullshit

Im looking through some of the organic growers journals...
some of the people in this thread going on and on about how great organic is... well... they sure do grow some beautiful plants

right on...:)
well lately I been liking pura vida which is an "organic" fert in hempys... but nothing beats the growth that comes along with rdwc systems or TAG systems, but hempys are nice and simple..
Im able to do more grows per year doing rdwc than in soil.hempys.coco, etc.... There is a guy doing 100% organic hydro (rdwc) over on another site... might give it a try.

even though pura vida is listed with the OMRI some people don't consider these type of nutrients truly organic...

So dirtyho, since you have only had three grows and none of them have been hydroponically cultivated, do you feel you have the experience to comment which is better??
