anyone know easy ways of fixing a calcium deficiency? with out locking it up? i heard possibly a little lime in with a gallon of water? anyone know how much lime?

try the cal/mag plus-i have used it with great suc.---if you are going for 100% true organic you can soak eggshells in ph bal water and add to your medium of choice.

eggshells i use them all the time my soil is actually a mix of potting soil sand and eggshells my plants grow big fast and they make killer bud

so you just put the egg shells on top or in the soil? or can i just make a tea and mix a bunch of eggshells in a 1 gal. container.

how many eggshells per gal? and how much Epsom Salt per gal? id use cal/mag plus but i dont have a store near me that carries it.
Use the lime. Eggshells are great, but take forever to break down and become available.
Powdered dolomite lime, garden lime, NOT hydrated.
Sprinkle 2tbl/gallon of MIX on the surface and water it in. Ex: 3 gallon container=6tbl of lime.
ONE application will do the job.

I'd go with the cal/mag. Epsom would be good, but it's almost exclusively magnesium sulfate. Magnesium and Calcium are really interdependent on each other for uptake. Read up on it. There are many posts here on the subject I'm absolutely sure. Next time you mix soil, mix in a good amount of crushed egg shells.
Matt is right. We really need pics 'cuz nutrient uptake is really dependent on pH. Too high or low will lock out nutrients and mimic a deficiency.

Dolo lime provides magnesium as well as calcium, i believe around 23 percent? Gypsum can also be used

Sorry realized above post is misleading, dolo lime i believe has 23 percent calcium and around 11-12 percent magnesium, no need for epsom if your going that route

Cosigned as well. To aviod confusion in the future, check the pH first thing. Rule that out first. Improper pH will lock out nutrients, and mimic a deficiency. All the nutes in the world could be there for the plant, but if the plant can't take them up.......

Do you have hard water or know anyone who does? I am also having what I think is a calcium deficiency using ro water. I am going to add some tap water that is very hard and try to correct it that way.

No calcium in Epsom salts, just Magnesium Sulfate.
