Found a Baby Deer

Here's a couple new pics of Baby. I've been keeping her fenced off near my barn for the last few days so she has a nice patch of grass and area to use her legs. She's been eating and drinking more on her own now.

I try and spend as much time around her as I can because otherwise she just lays around and tries to hide.

She's getting use to the sights and sounds of the farm and isn't nearly as jumpy as she was.

It's time to wean her/him onto cannibis. I know her 25 adult cousins like to surround my crop, so it's time.

BTW, way past my RDA of cute. Way Cute.

I'm thinking she'll be great at eating the larger trim leaves that aren't any good for butter or hash. She'll likely love trim time. :)

Props to you man for being all good about it, most people would not care about nature or the animals for that matter!

what a sweet little thing. i hope she can go back into the wild.
She'll be able to go back into the wild if she's wearing blaze orange like fabfun posted. Now that she's tame she'll always have to be a pet.
That's nice, a lot bigger and brighter than a collar, I'll have to look around for something that'll fit her good and so she'll be able to move alright when it comes that time of year for her to need it.

Baby drank almost 2 bottles this morning which is really good since this heat's been messing with her eating habits and she's not been drinking as much. I'm starting to mix baby oatmeal in with her formula to help thicken it up and help get her stomach use to more solid foods. She's going to grow really fast over the next few months.

they are awesome, my cousin rescued one thats mom was killed by dogs and it was great. they are so sweet. the one they had turned out to be a male and after a few years it began to get aggressive and they had kids so they had to try and move it back to the wild, it had always been free roaming around there house but we petted and fed it all the time. anyways i hope yours is a girl they stay sweet right on and on.
