So guys i live in the UK and i've currently got a week old autoflower seedling
the thing is the temps are fine between 65F-80F
But my PH is VERY messed

I'm currently using this soil from wilkinsons http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/compost/new-horizon-organic-compost-peat-free-multi-purpose-10ltr/invt/0075776/?htxt=PsAGyAqy%2FDSGVBgOHPBfATKVETOKIWHcwqoICuDrG%2FxTcDPfxIrYzUvEu76RzzM6wutKTeo9AOCB%0AtDs76aYYKg%3D%3D
and also wilkinsons STORE brand perlite
I'm watering my plants with tesco spring water which says PH @ SOURCE IS 6.5
BUT my PH goes between 7.5.8
what am i doing wrong? how can i prevent this?
can i transfer my seedling into another soil?

Your soil probably has plenty of alkaloids in it.

Mix a bit of pH down with your water to buffer the pH in the soil.

When I grow in soil I never check the Ph, and I never have problems. If there isn't anything going wrong with them presently, my suggestion would be to wait and see what happens try not to baby them too much....that's the real killer.

nutes change the ph of your water, are you adding in any veg or flower nutes? if so check the ph after you have added nutes

I'm not adding no nutes or anything
i have one of them 3 in 1 testers
and my stupid roomate thought because the moisture was 4/10 to water it again
he got out a 2 litre bottle of spring water ph @ srouce 6.5 and added a whole lemon in it ( squeezed it )
then put it in .. the ph after watering was like 7.4?
now its 8..

if your testing the ph AFTER watering your getting a false reading , the soil has nutes in which will change the ph ... never use readings from run off water mate. as long as its ok before watering you willbe fine

Sounds like the water is higher than 6.5, i use water like that and im in the uk to and its nowhere bi 6.5 thats why when you taking a reading its up into 7.1-5. how and what do you take a ph reading with?

have you tested the water ph before you watered? just because it says 6.5 at source doesnt mean its 6.5 now ..

I had a B+q one and i couldnt ever get a tidy reading so i went and got a digital one they are the most on the botton. you can get over one's, i got a test tube one with aswell, when i test it with my ph pen it comes out at 7.1, i put ph down into the water untill it reads 6.5 then i put it into the pots. we all start somewhere, some on a shoe string like i was on my first grow, but it all comes together as you go along. if you cant afford a digital one yet get a test tube one that you put one drop of solution they are good also.

what results did the reader say?
and what did you actually get?
iv no idea mate , iv been growing a while now so it was a while back but i remember it was crap lol , it was something i bought originally because it had a moist / dry reader on it aswell ... it was terrible , it gives you the soils ph not the waters ph .

so if my ph @ source is 6.5
but my soil says 8
is it alright?

one more thing to mention, my plants only a week old but it has one set of leaves the bladed ones and now the rounded ones
containing the nutes and water i think to survive are dieing off.. but the bladed leaves look healthy
do you think its lieing? and i should just carry on like normal
