Jeff, again you miss the point.... I was merely suggesting you try to see it from someone else's perspective.... it may give you more tolerance towards others, unless your goal is to be unchristian like and intolerant.

if they see it that way then they are wrong. i can say the sky is pink, and i am wrong too.

nobody is starting any war in the name of christianity. there were plenty of atheists cheering last night....

well lets hear it. show me some modern day christians killing bunches of people. unless radical means protesting the killings of babies in the womb.
The National Liberation Front of Tripura, a rebel group operating in Tripura, North-East India, has been described as engaging in terrorist violence motivated by their Christian beliefs. It is classified by the National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism as one of the ten most active terrorist groups in the world, and has been accused of forcefully converting people to Christianity. The state government reports that the Baptist Church of Tripura supplies arms and gives financial support to the NLFT. The Church is also reported to encourage the NLFT to murder Hindus, particularly infants.NLFT has also declared a ban against Hindus celebrating Durga Puja and other Hindu festivals. The insurgency in Nagaland was led by the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) and continues today with its faction NSCN–Isaac Muivah, which explicitly calls for a "Nagalim for Christ".In Assam, an extremist group named the Manmasi National Christian Army (MNCA), from the Hmar ethnic group, are accused of forcing Hindus to convert at gunpoint. Seven or more Hmar youths are accused of visiting Bhuvan Pahar, a Hindu village, with a gun in one hand and the Bible in the other, and pressured residents to convert to Christianity. They also desecrated temples by painting crosses on the walls with their blood. The Sonai police, along with the 5th Assam Rifles, arrested 13 members of the MNCA, including their commander-in-chief. Guns and ammunition were seized. In 2007 a tribal spiritual Hindu monk, Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati, accused Radhakant Nayak, chief of a local chapter of World Vision, and a former Rajya Sabha member from Orissa from the Indian National Congress party, of plotting to assassinate him.The Swami also said that World Vision was covertly pumping money into India for religious conversion during the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, and criticized the activities of Christian missionaries as going against tribal beliefs. In 2008, he was gunned down along with four disciples on the Hindu festive day of Janmashtami by a group of 30–40 armed men. The VHP alleged that the plot to kill him was planned in the presence of Radhakant Nayak, who denied the charges. Later, a Maoist leader admitted responsibility for the murder, saying that the Maoists had intervened in the religious dispute on behalf of Christians.

The Lord's Resistance Army, a cult guerrilla army engaged in an armed rebellion against the Ugandan government, has been accused of using child soldiers and committing numerous crimes against humanity; including massacres, abductions, mutilation, torture, rape, porters, and sex slaves. A quasi-religious movement that mixes some aspects of Christian and Islamic beliefs with its own brand of spiritualism, it is led by Joseph Kony, who proclaims himself the spokesperson of God and a spirit medium, primarily of the "Holy Spirit" which the Acholi believe can represent itself in many manifestations. LRA fighters wear rosary beads and recite passages from the Bible before battle.

Don't forget the KKK in the good ol' USA. They are still quite active and responsible for numerous deaths.

Come UB, he isn't going to actually click on that... ;)
the cognitive dissonance would be overwhelming.

end point to this failed thread: no religion endorses wholesale slaughter of innocent civilians. terrorists, extremists, radicals, and other madmen do.

why dont i have tolerance? i tolerate any religion that loves human beings. your suggestions premise is wrong. i can say whatever i want, but if its wrong, you dont have to enter it into your perspective do you?

a large large portion of the muslim religion hated to see this scumbag piece of shit get his head shot off. at the same time most people in the modern world breathed a big sigh of relief, a large portion of the muslims felt a bad pit in their stomach like their dog just got ran over.

no christians were in the streets cheering when the sunamis hit, we have compassion. no christians are cheering in the streets when isreal retaliates against hamas. we feel sorry for the loss of life and the ability for muslim thugs to convince their young children to strap bombs on their chest.

its not a small church in florida burning an inatimate object. its religious leaders, and many of them preaching in the pulpit, to go kill people.

when a nut burns a book, a couple hundred people die for "retaliation" across several major muslim countries. for a book burning? really? yes, they are peaceful all right.

would like to see some reporting on what the murders get in their sentencing for killing the christians when the kuran got burned.

You have no personal knowledge of how many Muslims are outraged over the killing. Are you professing to personally know that a majority of over a billion people are angry?

Al-Qaida doesn't speak for all Muslims. The Islam religion by it's nature is peaceful. Many parts of it mirror the bible. You are stereotyping an entire race of people and their religion. that's not intelligent, it's bigoted and unchristian of you.

why don't you gather a count of how many muslims "hated" the assassination of bin laden.

then, divide by 1.5 billion.

then tell me if you still think it is a 'large large portion'.

you are seeing what you want to see and nothing else. take off the blinders, bro.

i dont think you clicked on it. most of the info is from groups more than 70 years ago at minimum. another uganda is a group that is mix christian/islamic....wounder which half is suggesting all the killings.

and the one cult in india has killed a hand full of people. more like a gang than a religion.

so you have 5 instances scattered over a few hundred years. right this very minute you have muslim leaders gunning down their own in at least 6 counties, today, right now....can you tell the difference?

good suggestion, thanks for making it. i took them off and turned on the news. i see that at least 6 muslim countries with muslim leaders have gunned down thousands of innocent protestors including swaths of women and children in their own street.....within the last month. would you like me to name the countries mr ostrich?

So now you are claiming that secular governments, such as Assad's Baath party, are religious? Are you tying Gadhaffi to Islam now? You do realize Timothy McVay was a Christian with an agenda don;t you? Does that mean Christianity condoned his actions? ROFL... Jeff, you are showing a bit of a lack of knowledge here, don't dig any deeper... lol

what about the kkk?

i'm sure they've amassed thousands over the years, and are still going.

but go ahead, keep marginalizing christian acts of terrorism, while taking whatever select examples you want and using a broad brush to paint the rest of the muslim religion.

i won't stop you, but i may point out your fallacy and absurdity along the way.
