Is there any organic fertilizer in the soil? What is your soil made up of? sns
sns, I first had it in seedling mix, and when I repotted this time I used a bag organic soil, I was checking the bag it does not list whats in there, it does say it has slow release fertiliser and compost added. The plant started to react almost immediatley to being put it there.

Also the h202 was added yesterday, no problems, I loved seeing all the air bubbles everywhere. Lets hope thats the end of fungas gnats. I also topped, and took a few cuttings while I was at it (fingers crossed) but since no seeds ever turn up this may be my only chance to continue growing.

I'm sorry to hear your troubles with getting your seeds. I bet they will get there soon. Sometimes there are hot spots in soil that has nutes in it. I don't know if that's the problem, but if you flush the soil real good next time you water, it might help. Again, I'm no expert on mj plants, but that's just regular gardening stuff anyway. I don't know about the h2o2 thing, I don't use it. I have neem oil to deal with pests and fungus. So far I haven't had to, thank goodness. I hope it works out. Did you find the website for Mel Frank's book? sns:leaf:

Time for a happy dance folks, one of my seed orders came today :) after being in shock for a few minutes I did a big happy dance and song around the loungeroom. lol I have 4 x white widow x big bud feminised, 2 x laughing buddah feminised, and 2 freebies. What to do what to do.

Thanks sns, I didn't know that about hot spots holding nutes in the soil. I did alot of reading on using h202 before using it, it seems to be the only real thing that actually kills all fungas gnat larvae, and it breaks down to oxygen and water. I was hoping to avoid it all together however the sudden appearance of many adults buzzing around was so annoying, I was hoping I had won the battle, and I dont want those nasty little things damaging the roots.

Here is some new photos from today, showing the plant 24hrs after h202, and being topped, also 2 photos of the cuttings I took. They are in the esky for now, and I went to bunnings and got a lamp and a 48w cfl to put them under, so hopefully they will take.

I also have some seeds soaking for tonight, and I will plant them tomorrow:-P

Well I have bad news with the clones, seems they will die, except maybe 1, I have had them in the esky, and in a moment of noob stupidness I thought they might like to sit in the sun for an hour or so.
I learnt a valuable, but annoying lesson, the heat in the bottom of the esky skyrocketed in the sun, they all drooped over, I sprayed them with cool water, and took them out of the sun and a couple started to look a bit better, but now all but the strong large one have browning on the leaves and look worse everyday :)

But on an extra happy note, I have planted 4 seeds, and everyone of them has just sprouted, im just about to put a fifth one in, so will have 2 laughing buddah, 1 white widow x big bud, 1 blue hash, 1 blue widow, and hopefully if the last clone survives, that will give me 6 plants to fill the tent out with.

The plan now is to switch my current plant to flower today, and pray it wont take more than 8 weeks, and while that is happening I will raise these seedlings under the cfl in the esky until flowering is complete and they can be moved over

SDC11071.jpgSDC11068.jpgSDC11065.jpgLOL, yes thats a good way to think about it sns :)

Well 5 clones definatley bit the dust, there is one left. I decided to plant another laughing buddah because it was obvious the clones were dying, and it also sprouted very fast, but its shell was still attatched, and couldn't seem to drop it, so I very gently nudged it and it came off, and it looks alot better now.
Oh and they are out of the esky, it was way to hot in they are now in a non insulated containter and the temps are holding between low and high 20's, and the humidity is ranging from 80%- 90%, and everything in there seems to be prefering the new conditions. :)

The seedling in the bottom cup isn't standing up, and I dont know why, the leaves are green and healthy, and what stem is there looks ok, but it just wont sprout up. Not sure what to do, am just leaving it for now to hope it sorts itself out. If any of you guys reading have had this before please share.

And some new pics of the plant, (taken wednsday), obviously to early to tell yet, but im hoping next wednsday I'll have some photos which will show the sex.

Looks good Ozgirl. I'm glad your new seeds sprouted and you got the heat down a bit. Aren't you going into winter soon? You must be in a very hot climate judging by the vegetation I see and that you are growing outside in the winter. Sorry about your clones. Did you have a dome over them? sns:leaf:

sns, the clones were in the esky, covered in cling wrap with air holes, I stupidly put them in the sun thinking they would enjoy the light, but obviously the temperature skyrocketed, and they all folded over, the big one is the only one that stood back up.

Yes I am going into winter soon, it is a hot climate over here, and winter does get cold, it drops to 10c and I am sooking like a baby, where I am it very rarely drops below that, I never get frost or snow here, and all these vegies can handle it, I checked before buying them, so it should be all good.

The insulated ducting arrived today, so I have now finished attatching it to both the inlet and exhaust fans, it is a huge improvement, but that stuff is horrible to work with, I have covered the ends well with duct tape so I dont have to deal with that insulation stuff again.

Thanks sns and masterhemp :)
Well its time for the weekly wednsday update.

Here are the 5 seedlings in the new container, if your wondering what the 2 sticks on top are, I busted a connection at the top of the lamp, so they are garden stakes to hold it in place until I replace it.

This is a new thing im trying to add co2 into the tent, the guy at the hydro store gave it to us for free, he said hes been wanting to try it, so we could take it, and just let him know how it goes.
It mixes up and lasts for about 4 mins bubbling away, I also mixed up a plastic bottle with luke warm water, yeast and sugar, it will just keep slowly fermenting and releasing co2 into the air, as long as I keep feeding it sugar it will last forever, so that will just sit in the tent for now doing its thing.
And the radio pumping out some reike relaxation music, 3 hrs every day at lights out.

And here is a new pic of my girl, my camera is just not good enough to zoom into the preflowers unfortunatley. She is really drinking alot more water now.

Congratulations! I know it makes ya feel good to know that you'll def. get some bud and not pollen out of your hard work and effort!

About the Co2 "dispenser"; There's been a few threads on here about 'making ur own Co2' using a pop bottle and yeast and sugar. I tried it once and ended up w/ like a million gnats! So just be aware that making Co2 w/ yeast and sugar (for me anyway) brought on more problems than it was worth.

Thanks for the advice doowmd, I'll keep an eye on it, I've already had to deal with fungas gnat, and its not fun, have you tried any other way to get co2 in the grow, or do you just not bother anymore.
