I just wish the bud i grew got me high.

I am cutting my speed devil down tommorow and i want know what i can do to get high from my bud, or is it that i suck at growing bud? I see threads on here all the time with people talking about how they get high after they picked buds off their plant. I picked a branch off and its been drying for 5 days. I tried smoking a bowl today, but it still had that plant smell and did not taste good. What should i do? Thanks for the help.

Sorry the hear. Mine never smelled "dank" it stunk a bit during the grow but cured not so much. Tastes like weed but not like the nugs it came from. Sometimes its just not there. But it does the job. Doesn't do anything for you? Could be the strain

Some bud is shit, i spent over 20 weeks growing out some greenhouse seeds strawberry haze to find it had been an utter and total waste of my time both in growing it and in just the time rolling it up, better off just not.

Thanks. This is my third plant. It happens every time. I dont think i can flower it anymore. It looks like it cannot take much more. It has crystals and It smells good. It just doesn't have any good qualities after i cut it down really.

malicifice, do you use soil? If so how was your ph? my plants had major ph problems for awhile. I didn't know if that would greatly affect it?

man i dont know what ide do if i spent all the time and effort and care like i do, just to not be rewarded in the end...oi...ouch. i dont know you or your grow techniques so i cant surmise anyhting from that, but it can and usually IS strain related or the genetics of the seed, its condition even. idk, so many factors attribute to potency, it would be hard to peg down for sure just one. curing takes more then 5 days for sure..maybe a little more patience and youll get better results? best of luck on that man.

How long have you flowered it for? The statement "it has crystals and smells good" does not fill me with confidence in the time you gave it to flower. You generally need 8 weeks minimum and that can go all the wayuipto 20 odd weeks of flowering.

if it has crystals and you are not getting high then maybe you developed a disease/immunity. because that makes no sense. THC gets people high....

I actually should have cut the plant down on march 8th according to sweet seeds directions. I started it on january 8th. It didn't look done so i let it go longer. It is still going. The bud did swell up with that extra time. Being that it's an auto, it should definately be done right? Thanks for the help

autoflower strains are often not very potent as well. Might wanna switch up what you are growing.

I'll post them up later. thanks for the help. The hairs on the main cola are almost all amber. I will see because i have Dutch passion white widow, dutch passion super skunk and reserva privada(pretty sure) kandy kush. I started flowering them today.

It must be a shit strain. I build up tolerances to strains faster than anyone I know, but I can still feel SOMETHING off a bowl of some shwag. Is it more indica or more sativa?

i started my second grow on jan 3rd...by my calculations im not supposed to harvest till april 3rd. you must be using something that finishes very early? but im also using CFLs..so i guess its not that weird. i just kinda was like O_O for a second, wondering if i had let mine go to long,,stoned.

It says it's done in 8 weeks from seed being it's an autoflowering. i'm going to let it dry a couple weeks.

Autoflower has nothing to do with the length of time from flower to harvest. It just means it's what I call a "lazy man's grow" meaning you don't have to worry about switching light cycles and when to do so.That 8 week time is the breeders fantasy had they been grown under optimal conditions, which I'm sure most people can't really duplicate. If it says 8 weeks, bet your bottom dollar it's going to take ten or more to finish properly. If you haven't cut yet, don't. Also you said it has crystals and hairs. Well, all plants have that from about the third day of flower so that alone tells us next to nothing. Post a photo or two when you can and we can better guess how long you have to go. Speed drying, or quick drying is a waste of time IMO. You put all sorts of time, effort, and money into growing something that will hopefully be superior to anything you can get on the streets, then ruin it by trying to rush through what is one of the most important parts of obtaining good smoke. Take the time to let the plant(s) finish properly, then dry and cure properly, and you WILL NOT be disappointed.
