We have pits at our house and we bred dobermans for 25 years. My dog chopper is 100 pounds and he is a handful, we had him entered when he was 1 year old, talk to your vet or do some searching on when to do it. I disagree about doing it so young as they produce hormones and helps the dog get a good start on his life, men fell very strong about not doing it because we have them. Now it's clear that your dog will be very well adjusted and be a wonderful pet based on the active enviorment he is in. The most important thing to do is socialize your dog every chance you get that's where the issues are and by removing them it will help and that one time is all you need.

Now my dogs were 2, 3 and 5 years old when my son and his wife and the new baby moved in with us. We were very careful with them around the baby but after time when she started to crawl she liked to sleep on the floor with the big guy. I trust them except for my wife's dog she's the one that makes me nervous, they all grew up together they all share toys and chews and bones we have never had a problem, but my wife's dog is a little different and make me nervous. She's been altered and boy I can't imagine what she might be like if we did not do that. She's 65 lb and a wonderful dog but likes to kill small animals, we live in the country on 30 acres. The little one 45 lb is a great all around wonderful dog well cry lots when she passes, she's altered too.

Good luck but I think for the sake of the family you sack is gone.

Man of the house ask yourself this question. If he keeps them and bites someone your going to have to listen to you know who, bitch you out because if you had listened to her this would never have happened. Sorry you lose and she will beat you with this for the rest of your life. or you say you can't afford it

Do you want to have him bolt when he smells a bitch in heat, that means lose in the hood?

I'm a third gen dog breeder, two and a half of them were pit dogs neuter him,he's not breeding material.
Neutering only lowers aggression about 60% of the time, some pitdogs just won't turn off.
You'll find out his aggression level at between 9 to 14 months usually, good luck them dogs is born heart breakers.
I would say differently. My dog ran away and some fucking bitch from an animal rescue saw him and kept him instead of taking him to the pound like she was suppose to. She had him 6 weeks and how I found him I place flyers all over and someone called me and told me he's on petfinder.com when I got him back no balls and he's now aggressive to other dogs now when he wasn't before.

No way am I takeing my Rottie in to imasculate him............So we take MMA fighers in and have thier balls cut off when they retire so they wont fight anymore? I used to fight all the time so I guess they cut my balls off and I wouldnt of? Im against it 100%. I know Ill never change anyones mind how are for it but I will never do that to a animal or a human.....well maybe Charlie SHeen.............

in all seriousness, its better for the animal to be neutered. they lose that need to run wild and it prevents unwanted puppies which are extremely abundant...some studies have shown that they live longer too when neutered, not sure if there's much truth to that though.

and no i wouldnt do it to myself, but you cant relate people to dogs...i mean come on, seriously.

i would have him neutered, so he doesnt run away mostly and so hes not so territorial. my dogs have always been neutered so i cant say i know the difference between one htat is and one that isnt

He's super cute and I would love him with or without balls. I think it's good to not have balls because if you're at parks or on walks, the dogs without balls tend to be less aggressive. I always notice dogs with balls trying to hump my dogs at the park and honestly, unneutered dogs aren't even welcome or allowed at dogparks so they should not be there at all, nevermind being there and harassing fixed dogs.

I think people generally look down on people who don't neuter their pets. there is a huge overpopulation of dogs here in CA and if your dog got loose and knocked up another dog, you would be contributing to the problem.

If you're not breeding, no reason to keep the balls. A lot of men don't want to neuter because they think it makes their dog look less fierce. I neutered my boy I don't think he even cared lol. He squats to pee, always did, even before he was neutered. I waited until he was almost a year old because I wanted him to develop.

Some unfixed males hump company and mark territory. that's nasty!!

Lot's of reasons to fix, not many reasons not to.
