i agree with you blazin. there has been some unnecessary negative vibes lately. if you are using sarcasm, please learn how to properly incorporate it in your post. i have no shame is using my ignore list, thus far i haven't had to use it, but it may become nessesary.

Things like..

Lighting.. Nutes.. Plant Problems.. the 3 stages of growth Seed/Veg/Flower Hydro / Soil / Soil-less.. Growing inside/outside ect

The list could go on but I know you couldnt have to many but just enough so when you have a question it would be alot quicker to find a answer then maybe it would stop alot of repeat questions

Could also have a few stickys on each sub fourm saying
exp lighting < what types of light are there to veg /flower with
How far from plant at each stage should a light be
What watt is best ect


This would stop a lot of flameing and would make people search more as i my self would just ask a question instead of looking for it even tho i know it has been asked before..!

i agree with you bigbud. there should be some more sub forums. i personally don't think the grow journals are referenced as much as they should be. they contain real life scenarios with real life results. nothing could be better.

And the teachers in school would have an easier job if the just gave you the test and the answers all at once. Problem is you wouldn't remember it and you wouldn't have any idea where to look for the answers.

i find a lot of books tend to contradict each other. ended up buying as many as i could then tried to find some common ground. a lot of books are based on OPINIONS. i've never even watched a grow video. sounds interesting.

If you post a link most won't read it. They want a answer to their question NOW. This is not going to stop. I do think we should have more sub forums. Also, these young kids that shouldn't even be on this site are always going to be around asking questions when the answers are right in front of them. There KIDS. Happy growing.

well, I'm not opposed to sub-forums. but the main advantage of that would be putting some relevant stickies at the top of each forum.

Another thing that I think we need to do is to start running our own versions or mirrors of posts from other forums. I constantly link to other forums when helping others. It would be nice if we had a section of HOWTOs. Examples would be:

a) How to make your own carbon scrubber
b) How to tell if your trichomes are ready(found a nice article at http://www.drugs-forum.com/growfaq/1529.htm)....but it would be best if we had copies/our own versions of these sorts of posts. Because we never know when one of those websites is going to go out of business/be shut down.
