A Common 6500k CFL?

I ordered most of my supplies online and like an idiot got all 2700k lights,I thought they were 6500k but I was wrong and at least in flowering my girls will get plenty of light,Anyway I was wondering if there was a common 6500k cfl you know of that I could pick up at a local store?

6500's are hard to find. I get all mine from 1000bulbs.com

daylight cfl's are what you are looking for, any hardware store or walmart carry them.

for $25 you can get 4 or 5 6500k 42w from amzon.com w/free shipping. Otherwise in the real world department stores. hardware stores. It will be fine to start them under the 2700k. I've done plenty of grows w/only red spectrum the whole way and plenty of them w/blue for veg then red for flower and honestly i dont really notice a difference. However, using a mixed spectrum through both phases will beat them.

I've never seen CFL's in that range @ Walmart, Lowes, or Home Depot. They do have T8's in daylight, but I have never seen CFL's. Of course I didn't look at every single bulb either, I was looking for larger bulbs in the 100 watt range, and all I could find was soft white (2700k).

It will be fine to start them under the 2700k.

Agreed, you can start them just fine under 2700k. I would just suggest for the long term, like for your mama's, to get the 6500's.

the larger i have seen at walmat are the 23 watt ones, that compare to a standard 100 watt, made by GE

Personally, I like to use less larger bulbs, instead of more smaller bulbs. I use 2 85 watt 6500's for my veg and mamas. You dare not look directly at them or it hurts lol. They cost like $22 ea on 1000bulbs.

They are easy to find. I got mine from home depot, like $16 for 4 of them..

You want daylight bulbs.. I find the 23w watt (100 watt equiv) are the most efficient, they sell a 46w That is less than double the lumen count, and more than double the price..

2, 23 watt daylight CFL's put out more lumens than 1 46 wayy daylight CFL, at least the ones I was looking at. That and it was $16 for 4, 23 watt CFLs and $13 for 1 46 watt that put off less lumen per watt..
