Day 9: Watered Lucy, she has really like sprung up if you look at the leaves they are like sticking up instead of out, i think not watering it for 2 days helped!
Yeah im guessing she had had to dig!

Lucy is little and already sexy..lol. Nice job. Watering can be tricky at first, but once she starts talking to you..you will have a feel for what she wants. I used a soil meter for the first few weeks to keep track of soil moisture. It kept me out of potential trouble I am sure.
I have been a little cheap on this first grow if you can see, no thermometer, or water reader, or whatever else haha.. i checked the thing with my fingure lol

No that's totally what I was telling myself when I bought it. I was like okay.. If i grow for the next few years at least then I should get something that's accurate.. But I just know there's lots of people on here who don't even check their ph levels! at least not in the soil, they might just ph their water.

I'm probably going to be using only distilled water from Wal-mart myself for my water supply. The only thing Ive been wondering about is how you check the ph of water with nutrients added since the nutrients tend to make the water a yellowish color... and might throw off the color scale.

What's up Millyy, Lucy is doing her thing, showing off:) The moister and pH meter for soil cost less than $10 @ Walmart. For me it just saves time and headaches later. It keeps me from over or under watering my girls and helps me to control the pH level in my soil. Of course, you can use the finger test 2 check the soil, and after every feeding, when it's time to water your plant, give her a good flush. This will help keep the pH of your soil at a good level (6.2-6.8). Since you are growing 1 plant, you have time to do these little things to keep your girl healthy. The distill water is good, no chemicals to worry about and the water is already at the correct pH level.

Hey chief, shes doing great so far! I might buy the ph meter if it's only 10 dollars, i minus well buy the thermometer too haha. Since im using flowering tabs for nutes in a week or so do i still flush every water? Also, do you think i need to add my last light in there or no?
