I'm up in Seattle... This is a hot topic for me as of the last two years.
You have all these little punk ass dealers walking around with "The Shit", and just because someone tells them that their stuff is home grown, or BC Bud, or whatever they think that they can jack up the prices! Some guy tried to talk me into paying over $400 for a zip... I asked him what he was trying to give me, and he didnt even know what it was. Just that it was the shit and that I would be totally fuckered up.

Be reasonable... If you're going to charge $40 for 1/8 (and you damn well shouldnt be charging more) then toss in a little extra nug, just in case your shit dries up between now and the sale. I personally weigh everything before it comes into my possession, and right before it leaves my possession.
I think $40 for 1/8, $80 for 1/4, $150 for 1/2 and $280 for 1oz are seriously fair prices considering.

the going rate where im at for no name crypt is $50 an 1/8(though some do try to sell it for $60), $100 for 1/4, $180 for a 1/2, never bought an ounce but i doubt you could get one around here for less than $350

well schmidty you cant really be mad at the little dealers. For one since the marijuana business is highly competitive people are going to attempt all types of things to differentiate them selves from everyone else such as make up some crazy name for their strain or even do strange things to the green to "make it different" from everyone other dealer. The thing is a competitive edge in regards to product is very hard to attain. Dont get me wrong Homegrown is a plus but in places where medical marijuana is legal you find that homegrowers are going head to head with orgs that provide it unless they have decided to join them and grow for them. The fact of the matter is we all want a little money some more than others..... so just take the bad dealers with a grain of salt

I completely hear what you're saying. These are the reasons that I started producing myself... I couldnt stand the fact that everyone "wants a little money, some more than others". I hate the fact that everything in life revolves around money; physical/material wealth.

If I get rid of anything its usually around 300 an oz or 80 a 1/4! I am trying to personally drive down the prices in my area. There was a drought here (for people who dont grow there own0 and that forced the price way up. I am trying to help with that by undercutting the prices and not by a little. Here people are paying 400 an oz for just better than beasters. So when i come in with the funk for 300 the other have no choice to cut prices. It has already started working. The stuff mailed from cali went for 65 an 1/8 to 60 an 1/8 after i started letting a little go! Pot cost too much. I always give it away and smoke all of my friends down! If we turn down the high prices they will have to lower them or get stuck holding it. trust me this works!!

thats all well and good in a market where you have growers who give a crap..
in delaware where i am from at least my area.. good bud is hard to come by..
and if i had to choose between holding out on some good bud... or buying schwag that gets my by.. il buy...
if you ever want to bring some to DE please feel free.. we could use some good stuff around my way

just look at the glass blowing industry..
or regular agriculture...
when and if marijuana is legalized in my state...
i want to work with the growers to create a coop of fair prices for people who need it...

i live in ny..im not knockin u but id never sell for that much..and def. not buy for that..of some good shit..i get eiths for 35 or 40..and here the more quanity u buy the cheaper the price..quick sale quick profit..for u id say look around at the prices in your area..try to meet the standards..make your $$ of course but if you rip off the custy you wont be sellin much..cut the competition(if u got it likre that)..u gotta make the custy feel like there gettin a good deal without losin you profit..i usually break even the first couple flips so its garanteed the custy's will return..there are many factors to this..it really all depends on how it goes in your area and how much you tryna make..you can set the price but that dont mean ppl will buy..most of the time you gotta mett en half way..the first couple times hook them up real good then do your own thing..they need to test it to see the quality..and you shouldt even sell if you dont have big weight..itll be harder to make money,,the more bud you got the more options you got

White Widow? If I may add my 2 cents....It all depends on the quality of smoke in your area that your competing with, the market, what your clients, friends, and associates are willing to pay and your yield.
I can sell an ounce of White Widow for $300-350 to some people, $200-250 to another group of people. What I do is analyze the market I'm competing with and what my clients can afford. Since I am a grower - everything I sell is "profit" anyway so I do what I can for the consumer without getting ripped off.
If the market is over saturated with White Widow in my area - and I'm selling it - I will let me ounces go for $100-$150 to get rid of it. I still make a "profit" To avoid this I make sure I am selling an Exotic Strain that most in the area have a hard time getting their hands on - This keeps me on top and enhance my reputation with clients.
Right now I am selling "cranberry" packages or $500 an ounce - Cranberry consist of 1/2 ounce of Purps mixed with a 1/2 ounce of blueberry... My clients love it!!!!
So to answer your question - it all depends on what your clients are willing to pay, the market in your area, and how much you have to sell. But a good estimate would be $250-300 an ounce for White Widow.

but if i buy off pakis, i get 3 grams less for £20 quid,
hATE IT WHEN ITS DRY, AND I DONT HAVE MY OWN.
