First Grow, CFL Indoor Closet, Sour Cream & Bubblelicious

I have been growing what I thought were going to be Bubblelicious auto's. I had started nirvana's Blue Mystic auto at the same time. The Mystic finished in 60 day's then I put my Bubble into 12/12. Here are some current pics. It took 11 day's to really transition and show bloom. This is 14 day's since I put onto 12/12. It is a very tall plant 44" so far and growing 1.5" - 2" daily.

that thing is a monster! yeah i don't think nirvana bubblicious are really auto's i didn't even wait for my auto bubble to try and auto after reading so much of them failing to auto i immediately put it into 12/12 after 3 weeks of veg. in 4 days i already have preflowers proving that the plant was never an auto to begin with.

Yea wish I would have went 12/12 earlier. I actually vegged 60 day's waiting for the mystic to finish. I'm afraid I'll run out of height room. Not sure how much more they will continue to grow.

yeah anytime you read about somebody cutting down their auto's isn't because the auto can't grow bud if it doesn't auto. its because they waited so long to veg and all the sudden you got a tree in your house.

Dwc = Deep Water Cultivating Basically a Tub of water with Airstones check out my first journal i grow Hydro. I just ordered some Sour Creams cant wait till they get here How long till you harvest?

Um,. I'm thinking 2nd week in November. Not too much longer, today is the 5th week of 12/12 and I'm noticing amber trichomes on both(like 1 or 2 out of hundreds) and they are really starting to fill in and get dense.. I'll check out your grow.

aquaman, wow that thing is a beast. Is it still growing?

I did end up watering them today. 2tbps of molasses, had to buy some more. Didn't think I would run out and 1tsp of TigerB this time. Thinking I'll stop giving them TigerB on the 1st and do a flush then.

How are you judging the ripeness of your Sour Cream? Hairs or are you checking the trichomes?
Reason I ask is because my Sour Cream is supposed to come down on Saturday, she's about 50% red hairs and most of the trichomes are cloudy, maybe one or two amber per leaf. I know its like 70-80% Sativa so its more of a cerebral high, so i'm thinking harvesting while cloudy would bring out its natural high a little more.
Think I sould wait for a bit more amber or keep on for the scheduled harvest date?

Always go by trichomes. Most of mine are cloudy on the sour cream. I think it'll finish before it suppose to. about half are clear on the bubblelicious. I'm going to wait until at least half are amber then to a flush then maybe 7-10 days later most will be amber. They should start turning amber soon. This is week 5 of 8

Well, basically a flush is when you wash out all the salt and waste build up in the soil. So at least 1-2 weeks before you cut them down you want to do a flush then after that don't use anymore nutes. You can still use molasses, but either only water or water+molasses.

You want to flush twice the pot size. So

2gal pot: 4 gallons of water
3gal pot: 6 gallons
4gal pot: 8 gallons

I've flushed the sour cream before, but that was when I went to 12/12 which made a huge mess because the plants were so short. Now it shouldn't be a problem because there are no leaves near the dirt, they've all died or have been trimmed.
 
Cool, I was thinkin' I was gonna go by the trichomes and screw the pistil color. Yesterday I took off a litttle lower bud that didnt get much light anyways (plus I'm impatient) and dried it over night. Has a real nice "lets go do something" high.

Basically. Be careful with trimming. too much and the plant will stop growing.

It might not be a bad thing then I have less than that actually 21" total. Complete miscalculation. How tall were they when you switched to 12/12?

Watered them today. 3tsp of TigerB, 2tbps of molasses.

Growing more impatient everyday. On DNA genetics website it says sour cream takes 9-11weeks for flowering. ARGH... I hate waiting... Bubblelicious is looking pretty good. I think most of the trichomes on the sour cream are cloudy. I seen a few clear ones. Bubblelicious has clear, cloudy and a few amber.
 
You'll be chopping the Bubblelicious first. Mine are loaded with trichs and the smell is driving me nuts. It's very intoxicationg. :) can't wait to see your next pictures.

I trimmed off a small nug towards the bottom today. To get some practice with trimming. Yea, I noticed more amber trichs on the bubblelicious. Ideally I would like to cut them down at the same time so I can use the growbox for drying. I'm still thinking of a way to get a small carbon filter onto a cardboard box I made for drying.
