Ive been using rockwool for the past 2 years and i still cant get clones to root in them, and when they finaly do they are way behind. Ive come up with a pretty simple way.....just cut it and put it in a vase with water just like you would a flower. I add a little liquid karrma to the water and within about 10 days i have roots. Just make sure it doesnt run dry and its that simple.

hmm.. prob works for hydro, but the second soil touches the roots clone probably be toast..??

I just took another cut, try it again with no dome.. if this doesn't work I'll just switch it to dirt, I've had good success in dirt.

Yeah it failed quick. . They're all drooped and pretty much dead. I suck.
On to something new, shoulda stuck with the peat pellets, they've worked in the past... Landlord just gonna have to take his own cuts....

Sucks because when I got my clones they were in these huge rockwool cubes nice fat roots, why couldn't I do that? Maybe a heat mat do all the difference..

Or maybe guy at dispensery also has a EZCloner..... Prob helps.
And he used much larger cubes, it was like a small cube in a big cube.

keep at it man, it takes time to figure it out. They are a bunch of different styles on here, im sure you can find one that will work for you!

I did a couple plants in dirt this year, the bugs ate the shit out of them, but i used the same method. I didnt let the roots get big just lil root nubs on the stems and put them in a light peat mix. They rooted fine.

Alright, I've give it a go.. Maybe add some root gel in the water?? This is frustrating I need these rooted in 25 days for my next run.. I hate paying $25 a clone at the dispens....

I just went through your journal, some good stuff there.
For cloning I would chop the leaf ends off so that the clone concentrates more on root growing than using light to grow vertically. Just make sure you keep the medium moist, not drenched, and keep humidity up. After a few cloning sessions you should have it perfected.

I did clip the lower fan leaves tips.. I don't think it was the problem. I think I soaked the cubes way too much and it wasn't warm enough.. I think... I'll keep at it..

after searching thru the threads came to the conclusion I soaked the cubes too much. They need to be moist, not soaked. Try again... How many times can I cut away at my plants at a time?

Ya ive tried it with some root hormone in it, both worked but its faster with some kind of hormone. Give it a shot couldnt hurt to try a couple things.
At least you have the option to get what you want from a disp. No such love here! But thankfully I had a buddy hook me up with some cuts when i was having trouble.

I think its also possible its too soon for me to clone off these plants, I should wait a little longer. Maybe try again next week..even longer?

Yo. I just had my first successful clones take root in a week in rockwool, and it was really easy. Just soak them in 5.5 pH water for a day. Then add about a third of the recommended dosage ( I used 3ml in my little container with 8 cubes in it ) of Clonex liquid to it. Stir it up a bit, pull them out, take the cuts, dip them in the water quickly after taking the cut, then put them into the cubes and into the dome. Spray ph'd water on them and the inside of the dome 3-4x a day to keep it moist.

I mean, I literally just topped my one-month-old from seed plants and got them to root doing it that way. I also plucked off the lower leaves with my bare fingers like 3 days into it, and pulled two out to check out the bottom of the stem - aka doing everything wrong, and yet it still worked fine.

I soaked the cubes in ph'd water for 24 hours. Then I added 3ml of clonex to the water and stirred it up for a minute before pulling them out. I didn't squeeze the cubes either, just shook em a little so the excess water would fall off from the outside of it. No heat mat. I just have a little 2 foot by 2 foot box for vegging, and it only has 2 t5 6500k sun blaze 2ft lightstrips in it right now, and the dome just sits on the floor of it. Mylar all around.

I've had no luck cloning either ,I tryed rapid rooters in a dome like yours and still failed after two attempts, I,m going to build a bubble cloner seems you can't go wrong with those I see alot of first timers have luck with them . I found some Jacks Clasic all purpose and it costs more than the Age Old I use although I,m doing organic and jacks is synthetic . I don't know where u find for 5 bucks like that one thread claims .
The small size of age old liquid is 7.99 and it's working for me .

I think there are some tuturials on here for them , but basically it's a small storage tote with holes in the lid for your neoprene grips and a airstone or two and an air pump .
