generally not a good idea, there would be a lot of stress imposed on the plants if you did this. when they get too tall, tie them down, no worries. if it is a true auto it will flower independently of the light cycle.

so what are your financial restrictions? you could get a 250w hps for them, and get great results.
are interested in an all organic grow?

i really didnt want to spend alot on this due to the fact that it will only be a small grow using the autoflowering.. the 250 w sounds good and i was going to try that at 20/4 to start with. also i was planning on using 3 gallon pots and some other people told me to use the fox farms soil. my only thing was, which would be the best type of nutes to use? and how often?

yes, use fox farm soil. and if you have enough for a 250w hps, get it. 3gal pots are good, and with nutes try to find something with as little or no N as possible, with a 2:1 ratio of PK, although it does not have to be exact. the ocean forest should supplement your plants for the first few weeks so no veg fertz are needed.

any idea on what strain you want to grow?

i was thinking either the lowlife hindu kush or the lowlife ak47xblueberry.... any ideas on anything else that would be good for a first timer that is reasonable?

Well if you have any specific questions I'm sure someone can help or you can ask in that particular sub-forum (CFL, organics, grow room design, etc). Only thing I can really think of without more info is how to treat seedling. Auto seeds are pretty expensive, so you don't want to screw them up. Seems like people have a tendency to overwater or overfertilize seedling. As a general rule, we usually don't add any fertilizer during the first few weeks and don't water until the soil gets dry.

yeah, those are goods. it's really whatever you like, i always recommend big devil though, huge yields for an auto with a real fruity smell/taste

wht company is the big devil and which online seed company is good thts reasonably safe? i been peepin things out at the attitude seed bank that look pretty good and from what i have heard its reliable and safe

whats the best way to start the seeding? i was told that putting in moist paper towel first and then when it sprouts transplant it into the soil
 
if you get ocean forest you can soak the seed in water for 24-36 hrs and then just move it to the soil, pointy tip down or if the taproot has sprouted the part goes down. at least that's what i do, there are dozens of ways, i used to use the paper towel method in between soaking them and placing them in the soil, but i felt it was a unnecessary step so i omitted it.

It isn't really necessary, but I like the paper towel method. I've just always done it that way with pretty good success. I don't let the taproot get long though. As soon as it cracks and I see the little white root poking its head I plant. Usually within 24 hours.
 
is there any particular fertilizer thats better than others, like what is a good brand to use? i am going to use the fox farms ocean forest for the soil
 
I just started an Autoflowering Delicious Diavolo seed from a webiste. Said it would yeild 300 grams!

Any way thats possible?

sounds outrageous actually, i've heard of autos yielding 90-100 grams in a hydro system, under exceptional conditions, but 3x that?

idk, i call bullshit
 
cody box i tryed ladiva just weeks ago
its one of the best strains iv tasted im very interested
how yours taste and smell cause ladiva is strong and tastey
diavolo/blueberry

ladiva can get up o 300gram per square foot
good choice bro no1 trys different strains

Alright, thx for the insight. How about if it was left on 12/12 after vegging for a couple weeks, would this significantly reduce the yield?
