It is brown cuz it is old. You are smoking brick weed that was a part of 500 lbs shipment that has been sitting behind a fake wall of some Mexicans house for the last year. They get a shit load in at a time then sell it off in keys over the next few months....then from there it travels to the next city....and so on till it reaches you 18 months old.
And that ammonia smell you smell is just the different ways they ship it in. Can have a gas, ammonia, even hay like smell and taste due to shipping it in gas tanks, exhaust systems....etc.
Yeah, cause the last bag I had, had mad chrystals, and tons of red hairs, Hairs everywhere. But it was brown, and smelled of my grandmothers nursing home.
It had the chrystals, but the taste and smell was shitty. Taste was pretty bad, And the high leaves alot to be desired. But, it was seeded too, which would make it lose potency.
Actually seeds normally just make you lose bud mass, you will still have the same amount of THC theoretically. Oh well. I guess you get what you pay for eh?
Well, I havent had seeds in my weed in a very long time, and Ive been wanting to grow, so I germed a few from that bag. You're telling me that the bud from this grow will be just as shitty as the brown bud? I thought once female plants get pollenated, they stop resin production and start making seeds?
No man, you could grow this weed into the bombest dank around. Its all about growing invironment, drying, curing and packaging correctly. Its not exactly hard. But its not always to easy either.
Some people say that plants stop producing resin once polinated. But if you have ever seen and done it yourself you will see that you in fact do not lose any potency. THC is actually an anti-pest type mechanism the plants have and it continues to need this during seed production. You do lose bud mass for every seed that is in your bud of course, but your resin it there.
Well from my past jaunts into mexican grow cartels. It was because of poor cultivation, fast drying, immature buds, and bad storage. You figure majority of brick weed from thier comes in semi loads of a few tons at a time. Smaller loads are sent through to be caught to help tie up the border searches then a large load is whsked on through. It all depends on what part of mexico it comes from majority comes from Juarez area through el paso then up to places like Dallas and Atlanta for distribution into smaller bails of maybe a 100 lbs or so each. The basic thing is they take the buds to early to rotate crops and profit then they dry the buds on the ground in the sun so it gets dust and dry.Now its over dried immature then its compressed in neumatic presses and then sealed in plastic which any left over moisture from cooling makes a mildew or mold form giving it that smell and tatse. Its about quantity and turn around for commercial mexican brick..The windex could be windex some people spray it with a scented windex to help mask smells. Also can be wrapped in motor oil and powder detergent and then the chance of gas sepage for loads in fake gas tank compartments...so I have been toold as what do I know Im just a gringo
Ahah, Thats good news to hear. I was wondering if I could actually get good bud off these seeds. Ive started growing many times, just always get impatient and kill the plants. Im def. growing this stuff all the way.
Shit weed is always sativa? I doubt all sativa is shit weed right? I've never smoked an actual strain, or anything that I knew the indica/sativa shit on. These sativas, if grown right can be fun right?
And about the grow journal, I would love too. I just need to find the cable for my camera.=]
I couldnt say for sure all commercial brick weed is Sativa. But most outdoor large scale ops choose sativa for the huge yield compared to the smaller indica plant.
